Sarah Fan, MD Introduce

For residents of West Orange, New Jersey, and the surrounding communities seeking a cardiologist within the "Heart Doctor Near Me" category, Sarah Fan, MD, is a local physician with an office located at 375 Mt Pleasant Ave, West Orange, NJ 07052. This address suggests a medical office setting in a potentially accessible area of West Orange. While the provided information does not detail the physical environment of the office, patients can generally expect a standard medical office space designed for consultations, examinations, and possibly some basic cardiac diagnostic procedures.

The specific services offered by Sarah Fan, MD, are not explicitly listed in the provided text. However, as a physician holding an MD (Medical Doctor) degree and practicing within the context of the "Heart Doctor Near Me" category, it is highly likely that her specialty is cardiology. Cardiologists typically provide a range of services related to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart and vascular diseases. These services commonly include comprehensive cardiac evaluations, the use of various diagnostic tests (such as ECG/EKG, echocardiograms, stress tests, and ambulatory monitoring), medical management of conditions like hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias, as well as preventive cardiology counseling and coordination of care for more complex interventions.

The provided patient reviews offer a mixed perspective on the experience at Sarah Fan, MD's office. One review details difficulties encountered with appointment scheduling and the perceived lack of empathy and accommodation from the office staff following a weather-related cancellation. The reviewer, who had booked an appointment for their elderly mother six weeks prior, expressed frustration at being offered a rescheduling date nearly two months later without any apparent attempt to expedite the visit given the mother's concerning symptoms. This review raises concerns about the responsiveness and patient-centeredness of the administrative aspects of the practice.

In contrast, the same initial reviewer mentioned being impressed by Dr. Fan's credentials, online reviews, and accolades found prior to the scheduling issues. This suggests that Dr. Fan's professional background may be well-regarded. Additionally, the receptionist was initially described as "fairly accommodating" during the initial appointment booking, indicating a potential inconsistency in the administrative experience.

The second patient review, from a new patient who had an appointment, offers a different set of concerns. While the office staff was described as "very courteous and friendly," the reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with Dr. Fan's attentiveness during the consultation. The patient reported that Dr. Fan talked on her cell phone and texted during the appointment, which the reviewer felt was unprofessional, especially given that their insurance was paying for the service. Although the patient felt their concerns were heard, they left the office feeling that Dr. Fan was not fully engaged and intended to seek a second opinion. This review highlights a potential issue with the doctor's direct interaction with patients and the perceived level of attention provided during consultations.

Given these reviews, potential features of Sarah Fan, MD's practice include her likely strong medical credentials and the initial courtesy of at least one member of the office staff. However, significant concerns have been raised regarding the professionalism and empathy of the administrative staff in handling appointment reschedulings, as well as the attentiveness and professionalism of Dr. Fan during patient consultations. These are important factors for prospective patients to consider.

The provided information does not contain any specific promotional details about Sarah Fan, MD's practice. Medical offices typically focus on providing quality care and may not engage in traditional promotional activities. In conclusion, Sarah Fan, MD, located in West Orange, NJ, offers local cardiology services. While her credentials and initial administrative interaction were viewed positively by one reviewer, subsequent experiences with appointment rescheduling were negative. Another new patient reported concerns about Dr. Fan's attentiveness and professionalism during a consultation. These mixed reviews suggest that while Dr. Fan may possess strong medical qualifications, potential patients should be aware of the reported issues with both the administrative staff and the doctor's interaction style during appointments. It is advisable to seek further information and consider these perspectives when making a decision about cardiac care.

Had an appointment today, as a new patient. The office staff was very courteous and friendly. However Dr. Fan not so much. She talked on her cell phone and texted during my appointment which i felt was very unprofessional; especially seeing as how my insurance is paying for her service. Although she listened to my concerns, i felt she was not at all attentive to my needs. I left the office feeling like i need a second opinion.
