Cardiovascular Medicine (Heart Care) at Domino's Farms, located at 24 Frank Lloyd Wright Dr Lobby A Suite 1300, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, USA, is part of the U-M Health system and focuses on providing cardiac care. They can be reached by phone at (888) 287-1082 or mobile phone +1 888-287-1082. This facility aims to offer local access to specialized cardiovascular services for residents of Ann Arbor and surrounding communities.

As a component of a larger academic medical center, Cardiovascular Medicine at Domino's Farms likely provides a range of services related to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of heart conditions. For individuals seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," this location offers a potentially convenient option within the U-M Health network.

However, the provided customer review highlights a significant concern regarding the cost of services, specifically an echocardiogram. The reviewer stated that their doctor ordered the procedure with the understanding that it would be covered by insurance. However, UofM billed the insurance company $8,222 for what was described as a 60-minute procedure, with only a fraction being covered. The reviewer expressed strong dissatisfaction with this, labeling it "absolutely insane" that hospitals would run tests without indicating the cost beforehand and then send "outrageous bills" afterward. They also noted that online research suggested the average cost for an echocardiogram is a maximum of $3,000, making the UofM charge approximately three times higher.

This review does not provide details about the environment of the clinic or a comprehensive list of services offered. However, it strongly emphasizes the potential for high costs associated with procedures at this UofM Health facility, which is crucial information for local users to consider.

Typically, a cardiovascular medicine or heart care clinic would offer services such as:

  • Consultations with cardiologists
  • Diagnostic testing, including echocardiograms, EKGs, stress tests, and Holter monitoring
  • Management of heart conditions like hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease
  • Preventive cardiology services
  • Follow-up care for patients with cardiac issues

Being part of U-M Health, the Cardiovascular Medicine clinic at Domino's Farms likely benefits from the resources and expertise of a leading medical institution. This could be seen as a feature, providing access to advanced medical knowledge and technology.

However, the single review we have focuses on a significant drawback: the potentially very high cost of procedures, even for those with insurance. This lack of transparency regarding pricing and the discrepancy between the charged amount and the perceived average cost are critical points for potential patients.

There is no promotional information provided in the input. Therefore, our introduction must remain objective, highlighting both the potential benefits of being associated with U-M Health and the significant concern raised about billing practices.

For local users in Ann Arbor looking for a “Heart Doctor Near Me,” Cardiovascular Medicine at Domino's Farms offers a specific location for cardiac care within a well-regarded health system. However, the experience shared by one patient regarding the high cost of an echocardiogram serves as a cautionary note. It would be advisable for prospective patients to proactively inquire about the estimated costs of any procedures or tests their doctor recommends and to understand their insurance coverage thoroughly.

If you are considering Cardiovascular Medicine at Domino's Farms for your heart care needs, you can contact them at the provided phone numbers to ask about the services they offer, the cardiologists who practice there, and their billing policies. It might be particularly prudent to discuss potential costs for any recommended tests or procedures upfront to avoid unexpected high bills.

In conclusion, Cardiovascular Medicine (Heart Care) at Domino's Farms in Ann Arbor provides local access to cardiac services as part of U-M Health. While the association with a major health system suggests a high standard of care, the feedback regarding the potentially exorbitant cost of an echocardiogram indicates a need for patients to be diligent in understanding and clarifying billing expectations. Local users searching for a “Heart Doctor Near Me” should consider this information when evaluating their options.

My Dr ordered an echocardiogram with the understanding it would be covered by insurance. UofM billed my insurance company $8,222 for a 60 min procedure and only a fraction was covered. Absolutely insane these hospitals run these tests without any indication of cost and just send these outrageous bills after. From what I’ve read online the average cost for an echocardiogram is max $3,000. Leave it to UofM to charge 3x that price.
