Based on the limited information available from patient reviews, there are differing perspectives on Dr. Urbano’s approach. One recent review from a new patient describes an experience where Dr. Urbano allegedly made comments about their cancer treatment plan, including its aggressiveness, prognosis, and five-year survival rate. The reviewer felt these inquiries were unrelated to their cardiac issue, insensitive, and indicative of morbid curiosity. This account raises concerns about Dr. Urbano’s bedside manner in certain situations and highlights the importance of focused and empathetic communication, particularly with patients facing serious health challenges.

Conversely, another patient review offers a positive perspective, describing Dr. Urbano as “courteous, knowledgeable and compassionate.” This patient stated they would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family, indicating a satisfactory experience and a positive impression of Dr. Urbano’s professional qualities. This contrasting feedback suggests that individual patient experiences with Dr. Urbano may vary.

Given the limited and somewhat conflicting nature of the available reviews, it is challenging to definitively characterize Dr. Urbano’s typical approach. However, it is crucial for prospective patients to consider both positive and negative feedback when making healthcare decisions. The positive review highlights essential qualities such as courtesy, knowledge, and compassion, which are highly valued in a physician. The negative review, while a single instance, raises important considerations about sensitivity and the scope of discussion during a consultation.

I went to see Dr Urbano yesterday, for a heart issue following chemo treatment. I am a new patient. He proceeded to comment on my cancer treatment plan, and said it seemed aggressive, then asked my prognosis and 5 year survival rate. This had nothing to do with my cardiac issue and was incredibly insensitive, and came across as morbid curiosity alone. I have been very pleased with other providers in the office.
