It is important to note that online reviews can offer valuable insights into patient experiences. One review mentioned a cancellation of an appointment due to alleged insurance incompatibility, which was later clarified by the NC Retiree MAP plan office, stating that the Humana plan has a "passive" network allowing members to see any Medicare-participating provider. This highlights the importance of verifying insurance coverage directly with both the provider's office and your insurance plan to ensure accurate information.
Another review raised concerns about fatphobia during a consultation, mentioning a mandatory inquiry about bariatric surgery despite the patient not raising any weight-related issues. While this review does not reflect the experience of all patients, it's a point to consider regarding the practice's approach to patient sensitivity. It's crucial for healthcare providers to maintain a respectful and unbiased approach to all patients, regardless of their body size or any other personal characteristics. The reviewer did commend the ECHO technician for their patience, indicating that positive experiences can occur within the practice.
When choosing a cardiologist through a platform like 'Heart Doctor Near Me', it's recommended to consider several factors beyond just location. These include the physician's credentials and experience, the range of services offered, the accepted insurance plans, and the overall patient experience. While WakeMed Heart & Vascular - Cardiology has a strong reputation within the WakeMed system, it's always wise to do your own due diligence and potentially schedule a consultation to determine if the practice is the right fit for your individual needs.
As for promotional information, specific current promotions or special offers are not available in the provided data. Read this if you identify as fat/living in a larger body Multiple questionable things occurred during my first (and last) office visit, but I'll focus on my zero star rating of fatphobia awareness. I said nothing about weight while booking or during my appointment, but the doctor said they were required to ask if I would consider bariatric surgery. Shame on you, WakeMed. This review does not reflect my experience with the ECHO tech, who was patient with me as I came in with a migraine.
5 stars from me!! My former doc with Wake Med Cardiology was Dr John Kelly who is retiring, so I changed my location to Cary, which is near our home. My NEW doc is Dr Chan. He is awesome!! He is friendly, personable and above all...he listens! Yay! The fact that he is very intelligent is a bonus!! Thank you Dr Chan for making my first visit a success!! Almost forgot...his nurse is awesome too! Adorable!! And office staff was also very friendly and helpful, especially Kristie!!
Excellent experience with staff and physicians at this location. Dr Daw had previously previewed my case and was ready to discuss changes that needed to be made. Took the time to be sure I knew what I needed to do. Very thankful to have him as my physician.
I would like to convey my appreciation to the medical staff that managed and conducted my Transthoracic Echocardiogram and Chemical / Treadmill Cardiolite testing on January 19, 2024 at WakeMed's Cary, NC hospital. Not only was the staff professional in their management of my care, but they were also caring and sensitive to my needs and concerns. From registration through to dismissal, everyone was pleasant and thorough in the performance of their tasks.
