Memorial Cardiology Medical Group Introduce

For local users in Long Beach, California, who are searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me," Memorial Cardiology Medical Group, located at 2898 Linden Ave, Long Beach, CA 90806, USA, is a local healthcare provider offering cardiac services. While the provided information does not detail the specific environment, services, or features of the medical group in a positive light, it is crucial to present an objective introduction based on the available patient feedback.

The reviews from individuals who have interacted with Memorial Cardiology Medical Group offer insights into their experiences, particularly concerning appointment management and front desk staff interactions. One review describes a significantly negative experience involving a scheduled appointment with a Dr. Welder. The patient arrived at 2:15 PM and was informed of a wait to speak with the doctor. After an hour of waiting, the patient inquired about the delay and was told there would be an additional 30-minute wait. By 4:00 PM, the patient had still not seen the doctor. This lengthy delay was compounded by the fact that the patient had not eaten due to a pre-test dietary restriction. Ultimately, the patient did not receive their test results during this visit and was required to return on a subsequent Friday. The reviewer expressed strong dissatisfaction, stating, "Horrible! No elder should have to go through this," highlighting concerns about the treatment of elderly patients and the significant inconvenience caused by the prolonged wait and lack of communication.

Another review focuses on the experience of attempting to book an appointment and interacting with the front desk staff. While the reviewer acknowledges that a Dr. Vangieson is "great," they express significant issues with the "very rude and unprofessional front desk staff," specifically mentioning an individual named Darlene. The feedback indicates that this staff member allegedly "never returns calls" and behaves as if "he's doing you a favor" by scheduling appointments that are two months in advance. The reviewer states that "the front desk has always been a problem here, just rude," suggesting a consistent pattern of negative interactions with the administrative staff. The level of dissatisfaction is so high that the reviewer even contemplates returning to Kaiser Permanente, a statement followed by "*gasp*," implying the severity of their negative experience with Memorial Cardiology Medical Group's front desk.

Based solely on the provided reviews, it is challenging to comprehensively describe the services offered by Memorial Cardiology Medical Group or the expertise of their physicians, such as Dr. Welder and Dr. Vangieson. The negative feedback primarily centers on appointment management, waiting times, and the perceived rudeness and unprofessionalism of the front desk staff. However, the mention of a test being performed that required the patient to fast suggests that the facility is equipped to conduct certain cardiac diagnostic procedures. Similarly, the fact that patients are scheduled to see cardiologists like Dr. Welder and Dr. Vangieson indicates that the group provides medical consultations and treatment for various heart conditions.

Information regarding the environment of Memorial Cardiology Medical Group is not provided in the reviews. However, as a medical group, it likely operates within a clinical setting with examination rooms, waiting areas, and facilities for basic cardiac testing. The negative experiences shared do not offer any specific details about the cleanliness or comfort of the physical space.

Features of Memorial Cardiology Medical Group that can be objectively identified from the reviews, albeit primarily negative, include:

- **Availability of cardiologists:** The presence of Dr. Welder and Dr. Vangieson indicates that the group employs physicians specializing in cardiology.

- **Diagnostic testing:** The mention of a test requiring fasting suggests that some level of cardiac diagnostic procedures are performed on-site.

- **Appointment scheduling:** The reviews highlight significant issues with the appointment booking process, including long wait times for appointments and a perceived lack of professionalism from the front desk staff.

- **Potential for long waiting times:** One patient experienced an extended and unacceptable wait time for a scheduled appointment.

- **Concerns about front desk staff professionalism:** Multiple mentions of rude and unprofessional behavior from the front desk staff, particularly one individual named Darlene, raise concerns about patient relations and administrative efficiency.

There is no information provided in the reviews regarding any promotional offers, specific programs, or unique features of Memorial Cardiology Medical Group that might attract local users. Therefore, it is not possible to include any such details in this introduction based solely on the given text.

In conclusion, for local users in Long Beach seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," Memorial Cardiology Medical Group at 2898 Linden Ave is an option to consider. However, the available patient feedback raises significant concerns regarding appointment management, waiting times, and the professionalism of the front desk staff. While the expertise of the cardiologists, such as Dr. Welder and Dr. Vangieson, is not directly addressed in a negative manner, the overall patient experience, particularly concerning administrative aspects, appears to be a significant issue for some individuals. Prospective patients may want to weigh these reported experiences carefully and potentially seek additional information or consider alternative cardiology providers in the Long Beach area to ensure their healthcare needs are met with professionalism and respect for their time and well-being. It would be prudent for individuals considering this group to inquire specifically about appointment procedures and front desk interactions when contacting them.

Horrible! Had an appointment with Dr.Welder I was there at 2:15 and was told to wait for the doctor to talk to me. An hour later I was asking how much longer. The staff said 30 min....4pm came and I still couldn't see the doctor. I hadn't eaten because the test they performed required me not to eat. I never spoke to the doctor to get my results and now have to go back on Friday. Horrible! No elder should have to go through this

Dr Vangieson is great if you can actually book an appointment via the the very rude and unprofessional front desk staff. Darlene in particular. never returns calls, acts like he's doing you a favor by booking you 2 months out. The front desk has always been a problem here, just rude. I might even go back to kaiser! *gasp*

Very unprofessional, no customer service what’s so ever. It’s always something different when I call to try to make an appointment. I was referred by my doctor weeks ago and still unable to make an appointment. People on the phone are stressed out tell you they are short staffed and tell you there is nothing they can do to help you. The girl on the phone just put me on hold while I was talking! It’s a joke! Where is management?!

Love these people. Compassionate and caring. Dr. Lee did a cardiac ablation for me and cured a condition I had been dealing with for over 30 years. Changed my life, 100% for the better. Thank you! ❤

He nearly cost me my life twice due to his having a very casual approach. Once while I was having a heart attack, and second during a nuclear stress test when he missed a severe blockage of the major artery on left side of my heart. On both occasions another cardiologist saved my life.
