When local users in Taiwan utilize a "Heart Doctor Near Me" platform, they are prioritizing accessibility and quality of cardiac care within their local area. While Dr. Momah's practice is geographically distant, understanding the typical services offered by a cardiologist can help users in Taiwan evaluate their local options. These services generally include:

  • Comprehensive Cardiac Assessments: This involves a detailed review of a patient's medical history, a thorough physical examination, and an assessment of individual risk factors for heart disease.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Cardiologists employ various diagnostic tools to identify and evaluate heart conditions. These may include electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG) to measure the heart's electrical activity, echocardiograms (ultrasound imaging of the heart) to assess its structure and function, stress tests to monitor heart performance under exertion, and ambulatory monitoring (like Holter monitors) to record heart rhythms over extended periods. Depending on the complexity of the case, more advanced imaging techniques such as cardiac CT scans or MRIs might also be utilized.
  • Treatment and Management of Heart Conditions: This includes the medical management of a wide spectrum of cardiovascular diseases, such as coronary artery disease (angina, heart attacks), heart failure, arrhythmias (atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, tachycardia), valvular heart disease, and congenital heart defects. Treatment strategies often involve prescribing medications, recommending lifestyle modifications (diet, exercise, smoking cessation), and coordinating referrals for interventional procedures (angioplasty, stenting) or cardiac surgery when necessary.
  • Preventive Cardiology: A significant aspect of cardiology is identifying individuals at risk of developing heart disease and implementing strategies to reduce their risk. This includes counseling on healthy lifestyle choices, managing conditions like high blood pressure and high cholesterol, and promoting overall cardiovascular wellness.
  • Follow-up and Rehabilitation: Cardiologists provide crucial follow-up care for patients who have undergone cardiac procedures or experienced cardiac events, ensuring proper recovery and long-term management of their heart health. This may involve adjusting medications, providing ongoing lifestyle guidance, and monitoring for any potential complications or recurrence. Cardiac rehabilitation programs, often supervised by cardiologists, help patients recover and improve their cardiovascular function after a cardiac event.

The physical environment of Dr. Momah's office, located within a medical building suite, would typically offer a professional and clinical setting for patient consultations and examinations. Patients can expect designated examination rooms equipped for basic cardiac assessments, as well as consultation areas for discussing medical history, diagnoses, and treatment plans. The presence of support staff, including medical assistants and administrative personnel, contributes to the overall functioning of the practice.

In terms of the features of Dr. Momah's practice, his primary feature is his expertise as a Medical Doctor specializing in cardiology. Wish I could leave 0 stars. His bedside manner was horrific. Not informative in anyway, was over an hour late but was just messing around with his staff, I could hear them. And just had a horrific attitude. Not a doctor that cares about helping people, he’s the kind of doctor who’s there for a paycheck and makes that MORE THAN OBVIOUS. And mind you, HES A HEART DOCTOR. His patients are there for serious matters and he doesn’t care at all.

My father has gone to Dr. Momah for years. His most recent experience was so awful I feel compelled to write a review on my father's behalf. Dr. Momah was rude, insulting and dismissive. The most dangerous thing is how completely uninformative he was, which is extremely dangerous for any patient. See Dr. Momah at your own peril!

This man calls himself a professional, yet he is condescending and unwilling to make himself understood. As previously stated in another post, this can be dangerous as information is not clear. His attitude and rudeness necessitates our search for another doctor. If you need to see a cardiologist I urge you to find someone other than Dr. Momah.
