For individuals in Taiwan seeking information about cardiac care options, it is crucial to consider a range of perspectives when evaluating potential healthcare providers, even those located internationally. While the platform category "Heart Doctor Near Me" typically focuses on local practitioners, examining the available information about facilities like Pulse Heart Institute Cardiology Services in Tacoma, Washington, USA, can highlight the importance of thorough research and considering multiple sources when making decisions about cardiac care, whether locally in Taiwan or abroad.
Pulse Heart Institute Cardiology Services - Tacoma is located at 1901 S Cedar St #301, Tacoma, WA 98405, USA. As part of the Pulse Heart Institute network (which is also affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital, as seen in a previous query), this Tacoma location likely offers a range of cardiac services. The environment would typically be a medical clinic setting, with consultation rooms for patient-physician discussions, examination rooms equipped for basic cardiac assessments, and potentially on-site facilities for some diagnostic tests. Being part of a larger institute might also imply access to a broader network of specialists and resources within the Pulse Heart Institute system.
The services offered at Pulse Heart Institute Cardiology Services - Tacoma would generally include a range of diagnostic and management strategies for various cardiac conditions. These may encompass:
- General cardiology consultations and evaluations.
- Electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG) to measure the electrical activity of the heart.
- Echocardiography to visualize the heart's structure and function using ultrasound.
- Stress testing (exercise or pharmacological) to assess the heart's response to exertion.
- Ambulatory cardiac monitoring (e.g., Holter monitors, event monitors) to record heart rhythm over extended periods.
- Management of common cardiac conditions such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and stable coronary artery disease.
- Referrals to interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, or cardiac surgeons within the Pulse Heart Institute network or affiliated hospitals when more specialized procedures are required.
However, the provided customer reviews paint a concerning picture of the patient experience at this location. One review states, "If I could give a 0 it would be more accurate. The WORST Dr. ever. Dr Momah does not even check the box . No communication, no response in my chart, no check in before or after surgery, and I have been waiting 52 minutes for my post op follow appointment and am being told it could be another hour. Not sure if this is today’s health care system but I have had enemies that care more." This review raises serious concerns about:
- Lack of Communication: Allegations of no communication and no response in the patient's chart.
- Lack of Follow-Up Care: No check-in before or after surgery as expected by the patient.
- Excessive Wait Times: Significant delays for scheduled appointments, indicating potential issues with scheduling or patient flow.
- Overall Poor Patient Experience: The reviewer's strong negative sentiment suggests a deeply unsatisfactory encounter.
The second review echoes similar negative sentiments, stating, "Absolute waste of time. Dr. Shams looked at results, told me yes my heart goes fast but it’s not enough to be concerned about. Said my fainting spells weren’t serious enough to be concerned about and it was just a fight or flight situation I needed to get it under control and work out more. Had absolutely no helpful suggestions, listened to my heart (which was very fast) and he said it’s not that big of a deal. That I’m young enough it’ll get better over time. Absolutely not worth it, and incredibly condescending when you try to tell him your symptoms and ask questions. Kept talking over me. Worst doctor." This review highlights concerns about:
- Dismissal of Symptoms: The patient felt their reported symptoms (fast heart rate, fainting spells) were not taken seriously.
- Lack of Helpful Guidance: The doctor allegedly provided no helpful suggestions for managing the patient's concerns.
- Condescending Behavior: The patient perceived the doctor's demeanor as condescending and felt unheard.
- Ineffective Consultation: The patient felt the consultation was a waste of time and did not address their concerns adequately.
Given the overwhelmingly negative nature of these recent reviews, it is challenging to identify any positive "promotional information" or features that would typically attract patients. In fact, these reviews serve as strong cautionary feedback for anyone considering seeking cardiac care at this specific location of Pulse Heart Institute in Tacoma. They underscore the critical importance of effective communication, thorough evaluation of patient symptoms, timely appointments, and a respectful and empathetic approach from healthcare providers.
For users in Taiwan seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," these reviews emphasize the necessity of seeking out multiple opinions, checking patient testimonials and reviews from various sources, and prioritizing healthcare providers who are known for their attentiveness, communication skills, and commitment to patient well-being. A positive patient-doctor relationship built on trust and effective communication is essential for quality cardiac care.
When searching for a cardiologist in Taiwan, local users should look for board-certified physicians affiliated with reputable hospitals or medical centers, and inquire about patient feedback regarding their communication style, thoroughness of care, and waiting times for appointments. Choosing a healthcare provider who is responsive to patient concerns and provides clear explanations is crucial.
In conclusion, the publicly available recent reviews for Pulse Heart Institute Cardiology Services - Tacoma raise significant concerns regarding the quality of patient care, communication, and appointment management. For individuals in Taiwan looking for a "Heart Doctor Near Me," this case highlights the importance of carefully considering patient feedback and prioritizing healthcare providers who demonstrate respect, empathy, and a commitment to addressing patient concerns effectively.

My mother was very anxious the day of her visit with Dr Sridhar as you can imagine. His medical assistant, Amy made my mom feel comfortable and she was also very caring. It’s so nice to not feel like just another patient!
Once you get there you're in good hands.. but can someone tell me why it's 0815 and the phones are still saying they are closed when they clearly open at 8? This is a pretty common complaint, hire people, fix this.
