Eisenhower Desert Cardiology Center- Rancho Mirage Introduce
For individuals in Rancho Mirage, California, and the surrounding areas seeking specialized "Heart Doctor Near Me" services, Eisenhower Desert Cardiology Center, located at 39000 Bob Hope Drive in the Hal B. Wallis Bldg, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270, USA, stands as a dedicated facility for cardiovascular care. As part of the larger Eisenhower Health system, this center aims to provide a comprehensive range of cardiac services to the local community.
Choosing the right place for your heart health needs is a critical decision. Eisenhower Desert Cardiology Center, situated on Bob Hope Drive, offers a centralized location for residents seeking expert cardiac evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management. Its affiliation with Eisenhower Health suggests a commitment to high medical standards and access to a broader network of healthcare resources.
To connect with Eisenhower Desert Cardiology Center, you can reach them at their phone number: (760) 346-0642 or their mobile phone number: +1 760-346-0642. These contact options provide a direct line for inquiries, appointment scheduling, and other necessary communications.
The available patient reviews offer a mixed perspective on Eisenhower Desert Cardiology Center, suggesting a dichotomy in patient experiences. One reviewer describes the medical service as "FIRST CLASS," albeit with an asterisk related to administrative aspects. They specifically commend the care provided by the medical team, highlighting every interaction as positive. A special mention and thanks are given to Shelley Heiman, an RT (Respiratory Therapist), indicating the high quality of care delivered by allied health professionals within the center.
However, the asterisk in the first review points to challenges with "scheduling and calling," which the reviewer found to be a "hassle." They express frustration with the difficulty of making appointments or getting feedback on issues. The reviewer notes that the experience improves for members of their "365 Care program" who have a primary contact, but this program is not financially accessible to everyone. This feedback suggests potential areas for improvement in the administrative and communication processes of the center.
The first reviewer also raises a concern about the engagement of lower-level non-care staff in customer care, stating that it seems they "do not care a whole lot." This is described as a general issue across Eisenhower's facilities, with non-care staff perceived as not engaged in customer service "AT ALL." Despite this, the reviewer concludes by reiterating that the level of medical care received is "great," urging patients to "Get past that."
A second review corroborates the issue with non-medical staff behavior. This reviewer recounts a 20-minute waiting period in the office during which four reception area employees were observed not working but instead "talking with each other, joking, laughing" loudly. The reviewer found their behavior "extremely loud" and inappropriate for a waiting room where patients, some of whom may be "very sick or worried," were present. While acknowledging the importance of having fun at work, the reviewer believed their volume and obvious lack of work were unprofessional in a patient-facing area.
Despite the concerns raised about administrative processes and the behavior of some non-medical staff, the positive feedback regarding the quality of medical care suggests that Eisenhower Desert Cardiology Center excels in its core function of providing cardiac services. As a dedicated cardiology center within a hospital system, it likely offers a comprehensive range of services, which may include:
- Cardiology Consultations: Expert evaluations for various heart conditions, provided by experienced cardiologists.
- Diagnostic Testing: A full array of cardiac diagnostic procedures, such as electrocardiograms (ECG), echocardiograms, stress tests (exercise and pharmacological), Holter and event monitoring, and potentially more advanced imaging techniques.
- Interventional Cardiology: Procedures such as angioplasty and stenting to treat blocked arteries, although this may be performed within the broader Eisenhower hospital system.
- Electrophysiology Services: Diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders, including procedures like pacemaker and defibrillator implantation and catheter ablation, potentially within the center or through close coordination with other departments.
- Cardiac Rehabilitation: Programs designed to help patients recover from heart events or procedures and improve their cardiovascular health.
- Heart Failure Management: Specialized care for patients with heart failure, focusing on medication management, lifestyle guidance, and monitoring.
- Preventive Cardiology: Strategies and interventions aimed at reducing the risk of developing heart disease.
The environment of Eisenhower Desert Cardiology Center appears to be one where high-quality medical care is delivered, as praised by one reviewer. However, the experience may be affected by inefficiencies in scheduling and communication, as well as the perceived lack of engagement in customer care by some non-medical staff, particularly in the reception area. Patients might expect a facility equipped with the necessary medical technology for cardiac diagnostics and treatment, but the administrative aspects could be a point of frustration for some.
Key features of Eisenhower Desert Cardiology Center - Rancho Mirage, based on the available reviews, include:
- First-Class Medical Service: High quality of care provided by the medical team, including doctors and allied health professionals like RT Shelley Heiman.
- Comprehensive Cardiac Care: Likely offering a wide range of diagnostic and treatment services for various heart conditions, given its designation as a cardiology center within a hospital system.
- Access to the Eisenhower Health System: Potential for integrated care and access to a broader network of medical specialists and resources.
However, potential drawbacks or areas for consideration include:
- Challenges with Scheduling and Communication: Difficulty in making appointments or getting timely feedback.
- Customer Service Issues with Non-Care Staff: Perceived lack of engagement and professionalism from some administrative or reception staff.
- Potential Cost Barrier for Enhanced Services: The "365 Care program" offering better access may not be affordable for all patients.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Eisenhower Desert Cardiology Center - Rancho Mirage in the provided data. Hospitals and specialty centers sometimes offer specific programs, educational seminars, or participate in community health initiatives. To learn about any such programs or promotions at Eisenhower Desert Cardiology Center, it would be best to visit the Eisenhower Health website or contact the center directly.
In conclusion, Eisenhower Desert Cardiology Center - Rancho Mirage appears to be a place where patients can receive high-quality medical care for their heart conditions. The positive feedback from one reviewer regarding the clinical service is encouraging. However, potential patients should be aware of the reported challenges related to scheduling, communication, and the perceived customer service from some non-medical staff. While the core medical services seem strong, addressing the administrative and front-office issues could significantly enhance the overall patient experience. For those seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" in Rancho Mirage, Eisenhower Desert Cardiology Center is a notable option, but it may be beneficial to be prepared for potential administrative hurdles.

My experience with Dr Sharma and Eisenhower cardiology has been great. I read some of the complaints, as a senior like most of us there you have to maneuver your threw the system. You can order medication on line,my chart, when I try to contact doc,on my chart, someone always gets back to me. If you go to emergency room, tell them you are a heart patient you get in right away. I love the cardiology depth here, you just have to know how they work. Thanks Fred
Highly recommend Dr. Diamontakos(sp?). I had an emergency stent placed, and he walked me through every step. He's a fantastic doctor and really cares about his patients. He also helps manage my anxiety about medical procedures calmly ammt patiently. The only minor flaw is scheduling. It takes a while to get an appointment, and it can be hard to get a call back sometimes. But otherwise I've had a great experience here.
