Dr. Mulukutla can be contacted at (915) 532-6767 or via mobile phone at +1 915-532-6767.
The office of Dr. Venkatachalam Mulukutla is situated on Remcon Circle in El Paso, a location that may be accessible for residents in certain areas of the city. Information regarding the specific environment of the clinic, such as the waiting area ambiance, the layout of examination rooms, or any available amenities, is not detailed in the provided online information. Typically, cardiology clinics aim to offer a professional setting for patient consultations and medical examinations. Individuals with specific questions about the clinic's environment or accessibility are encouraged to contact the office directly for more details.
As a cardiologist, Dr. Mulukutla specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases related to the heart and blood vessels. This includes a wide range of conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats), valvular heart disease, and hypertension (high blood pressure). Cardiologists employ various diagnostic procedures and treatment modalities to manage these conditions and promote cardiovascular health. One of the reviews mentions a recommendation for a "Watchman device" for Afib (atrial fibrillation), which is a specific procedure to reduce the risk of stroke in patients with this condition, suggesting that Dr. Mulukutla's practice may offer specialized procedures in addition to general cardiology services.
Based on the limited information available online, a comprehensive list of the specific services offered by Dr. Mulukutla's practice cannot be definitively compiled. However, standard services provided by a cardiologist typically include:
- Initial cardiac consultations: Comprehensive evaluations involving a review of the patient's medical history, a physical examination, and discussion of their cardiac concerns.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests: This may include electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, stress tests (both exercise and pharmacological), Holter and event monitors, and potentially referrals for more advanced imaging or procedures.
- Developing treatment plans: Based on the diagnosis, cardiologists create individualized treatment strategies that may involve lifestyle modifications, medication management, or interventional procedures. The mention of the Watchman device indicates that Dr. Mulukutla may perform or recommend certain interventional procedures.
- Managing chronic cardiovascular conditions: Providing ongoing care and adjustments to treatment plans for patients with long-term heart issues.
- Specific procedures: The recommendation and attempted implantation of a Watchman device suggests a focus on this type of intervention for stroke prevention in Afib patients.
To obtain a precise understanding of the services offered at Dr. Mulukutla's clinic, including a full list of procedures and conditions treated, it is recommended to contact his office directly. They can provide detailed information about the available diagnostic tests and treatment options.
Features of a cardiology practice often include the expertise of the physician and staff, the utilization of medical technology, and a commitment to patient care. However, the online reviews provide critical insights into the perceived features of Dr. Mulukutla's practice from the patients' perspectives.
One patient reported a significant concern regarding the level of direct care provided by Dr. Mulukutla, stating that their husband was "hardly ever seen" by him and was primarily treated by a Physician Assistant (PA). Furthermore, this reviewer expressed extreme frustration and distress at being told that Dr. Mulukutla "does not speak with his deceased patient's relatives" when they attempted to contact him after their husband's passing with unanswered questions about his care.
Another patient shared a deeply troubling experience related to a Watchman device implantation. This reviewer stated that after requesting a switch from Warfarin to Eloquis for their father's Afib, they were "guilt tripped" into pursuing the Watchman procedure. The attempted implantation resulted in severe complications: the device dislodged during the initial insertion, and a second attempt with a different size also failed. What was intended as a 30-minute outpatient surgery escalated into a five-hour open-heart ordeal during which the patient's father "almost died." This reviewer expressed extreme dissatisfaction, stating they would give a "negative number of stars" if possible.
These two reviews raise very serious concerns about several aspects of Dr. Mulukutla's practice, including the direct involvement of the physician in patient care, communication with patients and their families, the process of recommending and performing medical procedures, and the potential for severe complications. The first review highlights a lack of direct physician contact and a perceived lack of empathy or support for grieving family members. The second review details a catastrophic outcome following a recommended procedure, raising questions about the appropriateness of the initial recommendation and the management of complications.
Currently, there is no promotional information available online for Dr. Mulukutla's practice. Medical professionals typically build their practice through their reputation and patient referrals. Given the severely negative feedback in the available reviews, potential patients may want to consider these experiences very carefully when making decisions about their cardiac care.
In conclusion, Dr. Venkatachalam Mulukutla, M.D., is a cardiologist located in El Paso, Texas, at 7450 Remcon Cir. While he offers services related to general cardiology and may perform specialized procedures like Watchman device implantation, the publicly available online reviews express significant concerns regarding the level of direct physician involvement in patient care, communication with families, and the potential for severe complications associated with recommended procedures. Individuals searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me" in El Paso are strongly advised to carefully consider these patient experiences and potentially seek additional information or consider other options to ensure they receive comprehensive, safe, and satisfactory cardiac care.

My husband was hardly ever seen by Dr. Mulukutla. He was seen by his PA. When my husband passed I called to speak with Dr. Mulukutla; I was told he does not speak with his deceased patient's relatives. I was very frustrating for me to never get to speak with him with questions about my husband.
My father was recommended for a watchman device from this physician after we asked to be switched from Warfarin to Eloquis for his Afib, Instead we were guilt tripped into getting this surgery. The device dislodged during insertion. Another size was fitted and that too dislodged. What was supposed to be a 30 minute outpatient surgery turned into a 5 hour open heart ordeal where my father almost died. If I could give a negative number of stars for this physician I would.
Never get to see him, only his NP’s in the office or hospital stays. His NP’s only give you speeches to “satisfy” you but no real information. Found out all my results from my pulmonologist!! Sad.
Got 30 minutes before appointment but still ended up waiting hour and half. Seems they are overlooking. Didn't had to wait that long before. Was seen by nurse practitioner, not the doctor.
I’ve been seeing dr mulalutla for about 5 or 6 years now he has always been so great with me he is an amazing Cardiologist I thank dr Gutierrez for passing me off to him I will be forever grateful that I got Dr Mulakutla as my cardiologist
