Patient reviews present a mixed picture of experiences at Saint Mary's Emergency Department. One review detailed a negative experience involving the treatment of an elderly stroke patient. The reviewer criticized the lack of compassion from an ER doctor and the handling of the patient during a CT scan. They expressed dissatisfaction with the communication and felt the care was "terrible" and "disgusting."

Conversely, another reviewer had a positive experience, highlighting the "very quick service" they received when their heart rate was critically low. They praised the "10 to 12 people working on me" in the trauma room and were "very pleased" with the subsequent ICU care and pacemaker insertion. They also appreciated the "very caring and helpful" staff and the positive interactions with all hospital personnel, including housekeeping, noting they "felt like family instead of another patient or number."

These reviews indicate that while some patients experience compassionate and efficient care, particularly in critical situations, others have had negative experiences with communication and compassion, especially in cases involving elderly patients. Potential patients should be aware of these varying experiences and seek further information or clarification when needed.

Very good , especially for stoke . I cannot see well so this will be short. I had an experience. Nurses were excellent. Appreciated the quiet room so one could sleep at night. Staff helpful and knowledgeful

Fairly quick care in a busy urban facility. The staff was attentive and helped me through the process. I was very impressed with the ER physician. Knowledgeable, caring and attentive, he continued to return to see me to ensure I was progressing well. All prescriptions were sent to the pharmacy as promised. I am very satisfied with my treatment and would recommend this if you are unfortunately in need.
