For individuals in Naperville, Illinois, and the surrounding areas seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" who also specializes in vascular care, Priyanka Pitroda, MD, has a practice located at 1508 Aurora Ave, Naperville, IL 60540, USA. Her office provides a local option for those seeking medical attention for conditions related to the heart and blood vessels. To inquire about the services offered or to schedule an appointment, you can contact her office directly at (630) 585-7100 or via her mobile phone at +1 630-585-7100.

Information regarding the specific environment of Dr. Pitroda's office is not available in the provided text. However, when choosing a healthcare provider, patients typically look for a clean, comfortable, and professional setting that fosters trust and facilitates effective communication. The overall ambiance of a medical office can contribute to a patient's comfort level during consultations and examinations related to their heart and vascular health.

As a cardiologist, Dr. Pitroda likely offers a range of services related to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart diseases. This generally includes consultations for common cardiac concerns such as chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, and high blood pressure. Cardiologists also manage chronic conditions like coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular heart disease. Given the mention of carotid testing in the patient review, Dr. Pitroda also appears to be involved in vascular care, specifically addressing conditions affecting the carotid arteries, which are major blood vessels in the neck that supply blood to the brain.

To obtain a comprehensive understanding of the specific services offered by Dr. Pitroda at her Naperville location, it is advisable to contact her office directly. Inquiries should focus on the types of diagnostic tests available for both cardiac and vascular conditions. For cardiac care, this might include electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG), echocardiograms, stress tests, and Holter monitoring. For vascular care, particularly concerning the carotids, it would be important to understand the types of imaging studies she utilizes, especially in light of the review mentioning an "unreliable test." Inquiring about the specific types of carotid artery testing she offers would be prudent for potential patients with concerns in this area.

Furthermore, it would be beneficial to inquire about Dr. Pitroda's approach to treatment, including the use of medications like statins, as well as any interventional procedures she might perform or refer to, such as angioplasty or stenting for coronary or carotid artery disease. Understanding her treatment protocols and her philosophy regarding medication management is essential for patients making informed decisions about their care.

The provided patient review offers a direct, albeit critical, perspective on Dr. Pitroda's diagnostic and treatment approach in a specific case involving carotid stenosis. The reviewer recounts an experience where they were diagnosed with moderate carotid stenosis based on a test the reviewer later learned was "unreliable." Subsequently, Dr. Pitroda reportedly recommended statin medication. Seeking a second opinion and undergoing a different test revealed no stenosis, leading the reviewer to express a loss of trust in Dr. Pitroda's initial assessment and treatment recommendation.

This review highlights the importance of thorough and accurate diagnostic testing in cardiovascular and vascular medicine. It also underscores the significance of second opinions when patients have concerns about their diagnosis or treatment plan. While this is a single patient's experience, it raises questions about the reliability of the initial testing ordered and the subsequent treatment recommendation. Potential patients may want to inquire about Dr. Pitroda's protocols for carotid artery evaluation and her approach to prescribing medications like statins, particularly in cases of moderate stenosis.

Given the critical nature of the single review available, providing positive promotional information is challenging. Typically, promotional aspects of a medical practice might include the doctor's board certifications, years of experience, specific areas of expertise, affiliations with reputable medical institutions, or patient testimonials highlighting positive outcomes and experiences. Without such information, and in light of the expressed concerns in the review, a balanced and objective approach requires acknowledging the feedback provided.

For local users in Naperville seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" who also handles vascular issues like carotid stenosis, Priyanka Pitroda, MD, is a local option. However, the available patient review raises important considerations regarding diagnostic testing and treatment recommendations. Potential patients, especially those with concerns about carotid artery disease, may want to inquire specifically about the types of tests Dr. Pitroda utilizes for carotid evaluation and her criteria for prescribing statin medication. Seeking additional opinions and gathering more information about Dr. Pitroda's practice may be prudent to ensure they feel confident in their choice of healthcare provider.

In conclusion, Priyanka Pitroda, MD, offers heart and vascular care services in Naperville, Illinois. The single available patient review expresses significant concerns regarding the reliability of a carotid test and a subsequent statin recommendation. For individuals in the local area searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me," it is advisable to consider this feedback alongside any other information they may gather about Dr. Pitroda's practice. Direct communication with her office to understand her diagnostic and treatment approaches, particularly for vascular conditions, will be an important step for potential patients in making an informed decision about their cardiovascular and vascular healthcare needs.

I had an unreliable test for my carotids. Was told I had moderate carotid stenosis and she threw me on statins and out the door I went. I went for a second opinion. I felt something wasn’t right with her. The new doc told me the test she ordered was an unreliable one and I went for a different test which showed NO stenosis. I don’t need statins yet Dr. Pitroda was ready to put me on them for life. My trust is gone for her.
