Wasn't a 5 star place, but the staff at the surgical unit for eye surgery was great. Very professional and caring. The only reason for the 3 stars was the cleanness of the wating area floor and bathroom. The wheel beds were pretty dirty under them, so I blame the janitorial staff. Those things should be SPOTLESS, considering they take patients there after having surgeries. But that aside, great doctors and nurses.

The care and dedication the MICU team at his hospital has is unmatched. I had nothing but a positive experience at Penn Presbyterian the past two times I’ve been here for family emergencies in the past 4 years. The empathy they strive towards with the patients and their family makes the process so much smoother for everyone involved. If I could dedicate a hero award, it’d be these guys! Empathetic souls through and through. Strive for excellence!

This is regarding the emergency center only. Neglectful provider staff (not the nursing staff) and long wait times. Long wait times of 5-6 hours, just to be told they can’t do much for you. Other patients were shouting in pain for hours without getting assistance on the same floor, while other staff members ignored and ate their lunch. Unsanitary treatment rooms with soiled linens from other patients placed in exposed triage areas.

I took my other post down because it wasn't fair to the ones that reached out and made my mother feel comfortable. My issue was with certain staff on senior care unit. Thank the doctor's who kept me informed on every move made dealing with the surgery..
