The provided customer reviews for Ochsner Health Center - O'Neal present a mixed and concerning picture. One reviewer expresses extreme dissatisfaction with the ENT department, citing a very brief and seemingly rushed appointment with a particular provider. Another review details a similarly rushed experience with a different clinician, highlighting a lack of thoroughness and a feeling of being the last priority at the end of the day. These reviews suggest potential issues with appointment scheduling, provider attentiveness, and the overall patient experience in at least some departments within the center.

Most alarmingly, one detailed review recounts a deeply troubling experience involving the reviewer's father who was admitted for heart problems. This account alleges several serious issues, including inadequate patient care (being given a bottle to urinate in while unable to lower pants), a medical error during a defibrillator check, being pressured to sign paperwork while medicated, inappropriate dietary provisions, and a delayed discharge with a PICC line that the patient would supposedly need for life. The reviewer further states that a subsequent facility indicated that Ochsner should have advised against the patient staying in Arkansas through Christmas if he intended to return for care in Baton Rouge. This review expresses a strong sentiment of poor bedside manner and the patient feeling "held hostage" at the facility. The patient tragically passed away two weeks after discharge.

It is imperative to acknowledge the gravity of the negative experiences described in these reviews. While these are individual accounts and may not represent the totality of experiences at Ochsner Health Center - O'Neal, they raise significant concerns about patient care, communication, and safety protocols within at least some departments. Individuals considering this facility for their heart care needs should be aware of this feedback and may want to seek further information or consider alternative options.

In conclusion, Ochsner Health Center - O'Neal in Baton Rouge is a part of a larger healthcare system that may offer cardiology services to local users searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me." While the facility benefits from the resources and network of Ochsner Health, the provided patient reviews include serious concerns regarding the quality and thoroughness of care in some departments, including a deeply troubling account related to cardiac care. What does it matter if I put my opinion because nothing is going to change !! And I am sad to say I have a family member that works for Ochsner . All I can do is laugh at how they got 4.7stars. That's a joke in my experience with them in how they treat family and their family member who has to be in their care. ☹️
