Mercy Health - Heart and Vascular Institute, Poland Introduce
For residents in Poland, Ohio, and the surrounding communities seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" or specialized vascular care, the Mercy Health - Heart and Vascular Institute located at 715 E Western Reserve Rd, Poland, OH 44514, USA, serves as a local point of access. As part of the larger Mercy Health network, this institute aims to provide a range of services related to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions affecting the heart and blood vessels. Being situated within the Mercy Health system suggests a commitment to providing care within established medical facilities, though specific details about the immediate environment of the Poland location are not extensively detailed online.
As a Heart and Vascular Institute, the Mercy Health facility in Poland likely offers a variety of services catering to both cardiac and vascular health needs. While a comprehensive list of all available services would typically be obtained through direct contact with the institute, based on the general scope of practice for such centers, the services likely include:
- Cardiology Services: This would encompass the diagnosis and medical management of various heart conditions, potentially including consultations, electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG), echocardiography, stress testing, Holter and event monitoring, and management of conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias.
- Interventional Cardiology: Depending on the capabilities of the Poland location, it may offer minimally invasive procedures such as angioplasty and stenting to treat blocked arteries and other structural heart issues. If not directly offered, there would likely be a referral system within the Mercy Health network.
- Electrophysiology: The diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders, potentially including the implantation and management of pacemakers and defibrillators, as well as catheter ablation procedures. Again, this might be offered on-site or through a coordinated referral process.
- Vascular Services: Focusing on the diagnosis and management of diseases affecting the blood vessels outside the heart, such as peripheral artery disease, deep vein thrombosis, varicose veins, and carotid artery disease. This could include non-invasive vascular ultrasound and medical management.
- Vascular Surgery: Depending on the specialization at the Poland location, surgical interventions for vascular conditions might be offered, or patients might be referred to other Mercy Health facilities with vascular surgeons.
- Cardiac Rehabilitation: Programs designed to help patients recover after a cardiac event or procedure, focusing on exercise, education, and lifestyle modification.
- Preventive Cardiology: Services aimed at identifying and managing risk factors for heart and vascular disease, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes.
As part of the Mercy Health network, the Poland location potentially benefits from several features associated with a larger healthcare system:
- Integrated Care: Access to a network of specialists and services within Mercy Health, allowing for coordinated care across different medical disciplines.
- Established Medical Protocols: Adherence to standardized medical practices and protocols developed within the Mercy Health system.
- Advanced Medical Technology: Potential access to advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies available within the broader Mercy Health network.
- Commitment to Patient Care: A stated mission to provide compassionate and quality healthcare, which is typically a hallmark of non-profit healthcare organizations like Mercy Health.
However, the provided customer reviews raise significant concerns regarding communication and appointment scheduling at the Mercy Health - Heart and Vascular Institute in Poland. One reviewer reported not receiving follow-up after a stress test despite being told they would hear back within 48 hours, and experiencing difficulty reaching the office and receiving a response to voicemails and MyChart messages. Another review expressed frustration with the difficulty of getting an appointment and a lack of callbacks, deeming it "not worth the hassle."
These reviews, while limited in number, suggest potential challenges in the areas of patient communication and timely scheduling at this specific location. This is a crucial aspect of patient care, particularly for individuals dealing with heart and vascular conditions where timely follow-up and access to appointments can be critical. These reviews do not provide information about the clinical environment or the expertise of the medical professionals but highlight significant issues with administrative processes.
In light of the limited positive information available online and the negative feedback regarding communication and appointment access, it is challenging to identify specific promotional aspects of this particular location. Typically, a healthcare facility might promote:
- Specific areas of expertise or specialized programs.
- The qualifications and experience of their physicians.
- The use of advanced technology or innovative treatments.
- Positive patient outcomes and satisfaction (often through testimonials).
- Community outreach programs or educational initiatives.
However, the current online feedback raises concerns that might overshadow any potential promotional messaging. Addressing the issues highlighted in the reviews regarding communication and appointment scheduling would likely be a priority for the institute to improve patient experience and maintain a positive reputation within the local community.
For local users seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" and considering the Mercy Health - Heart and Vascular Institute in Poland, it would be prudent to be aware of the recent feedback regarding communication challenges. While the institute is part of a larger, reputable healthcare network, the experience at this specific location, based on the limited available reviews, may not meet all expectations, particularly in terms of responsiveness and appointment accessibility.
Prospective patients may want to consider these points when deciding whether to seek care at this facility. Contacting the institute directly at (330) 726-3204 or mobile phone +1 330-726-3204 to inquire about appointment availability, follow-up procedures, and communication protocols might provide further clarity. It would also be beneficial to inquire about any steps the institute has taken to address the concerns raised in the online reviews.
In conclusion, the Mercy Health - Heart and Vascular Institute in Poland, OH, is a local facility within a larger healthcare network that aims to provide comprehensive heart and vascular care. While the institute potentially offers a range of cardiology and vascular services and benefits from the resources of Mercy Health, recent online reviews indicate potential challenges with communication and appointment scheduling. Local users seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" should be aware of this feedback and may want to directly engage with the institute to gather more information and assess if it meets their individual healthcare needs and expectations.

I had a stress test and have not had a response after being told I would hear back within 48 hours. It has been 10 days. I can't get through to their office number, but have to leave a voicemail to which no one phones me back. I left message on My Chart, but no one responded to that either. I guess I will have to drive there to advocate for myself and my health.
Good luck trying to get an appointment here . They never call you back and no openings. Not worth the hassle.

I've been waiting three weeks just for them to schedule a stress test. Let alone schedule a surgical procedure. I used to go to the Belmont ave office and they were well organized. A lady by the name of Mary Catherine was nice and took good care of me.
