Mark Hart, MD Introduce

When searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me" in Portland, Oregon, it is essential to consider all available information to make an informed decision about your cardiovascular healthcare. Dr. Mark Hart, MD, is a cardiologist with an office located at 10000 SE Main St # 60, Portland, OR 97216, USA. While specific details about the environment of his office suite are not provided online, medical offices typically aim to offer a professional setting for patient consultations and examinations. This generally includes a reception area, private examination rooms, and potentially access to basic diagnostic equipment or coordination with nearby facilities for more advanced testing.

As a cardiologist, Dr. Hart's services would typically include a range of cardiac care aimed at diagnosing, treating, and preventing heart and vascular diseases. These services generally encompass:

  • Clinical consultations: Evaluation of a patient's cardiovascular health, including medical history review, physical examination, and risk assessment for heart disease.
  • Diagnostic testing: Ordering and interpreting various cardiac tests such as electrocardiograms (ECG), echocardiograms, stress tests, and Holter monitoring to assess heart function and identify potential issues.
  • Management of heart conditions: Developing and implementing treatment plans for conditions like coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and high cholesterol, which may involve lifestyle recommendations, medication management, and referrals for interventional procedures or surgery when necessary.
  • Preventive cardiology: Providing guidance on lifestyle modifications and risk factor management to help patients prevent the onset or progression of heart disease.
  • Follow-up care: Monitoring patients with existing cardiac conditions to assess the effectiveness of their treatment and make adjustments as needed.

However, it is crucial to consider the feedback shared by individuals who have had direct experiences with Dr. Hart. Two publicly available reviews offer significant insights into their interactions with him and his office. One reviewer stated that there was "zero concern" shown for them, describing Dr. Hart as having "astounding" arrogance and a "know-it-all-ego," which made them feel like an "idiot." This reviewer also reported a lack of communication regarding follow-up instructions despite the presence of multiple assistants. Ultimately, this patient sought care elsewhere and found an "AMAZING cardio team" that they credit with saving their life.

Another review echoed concerns about Dr. Hart's bedside manner, describing him as "horrible, rude, and condescending." This patient alleged that Dr. Hart frequently interrupted, did not listen, and stated that follow-up after open-heart surgery was the patient's responsibility. They also reported an issue with the office not relaying the need for an echocardiogram, leading to a wasted office visit. This reviewer expressed a desire to find a cardiologist who is not only competent but also genuinely caring, kind, and interested in the patient as a whole. The review also mentioned an instance where Dr. Hart made a comment about the patient's aunt's high glucose levels, dismissing it as not his area of expertise in a "snappy rude tone," despite having brought it up himself. This patient expressed particular dissatisfaction with Dr. Hart's demeanor towards their elderly aunt.

Based on these two patient reviews, a significant feature of Dr. Hart's practice, as perceived by these individuals, is a lack of patient-centered communication and a negative bedside manner. These reviewers did not report positive aspects of their experience with Dr. Hart or his office. It is important to note that these are individual experiences and may not represent the views of all patients. However, for individuals actively searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me," this feedback warrants careful consideration.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Dr. Mark Hart, MD, based on the provided data. The absence of positive reviews or any specific promotions suggests that prospective patients would need to rely on other sources of information or personal referrals to form a complete opinion about his practice. The negative feedback provided by these two reviewers does not serve as a positive promotion for his services.

For individuals considering Dr. Hart as their "Heart Doctor Near Me," it would be prudent to seek additional information from other sources, such as other online review platforms, personal recommendations from their primary care physician or other healthcare providers, or by directly contacting Dr. Hart's office at (503) 257-0959 or +1 503-257-0959 to inquire about his approach to patient care and the services offered. It is important to feel comfortable and confident in your healthcare provider, especially when dealing with matters as critical as heart health.

When choosing a cardiologist, factors beyond just location should be carefully evaluated. These include the doctor's qualifications, experience, the range of services offered, their communication style, and the overall patient experience. The negative feedback provided by the two reviewers highlights the importance of considering the patient-physician relationship and the quality of communication and care provided. While Dr. Hart's office is located in Portland and may be geographically convenient for some, these reviews suggest potential concerns regarding his bedside manner and patient communication.

In conclusion, Dr. Mark Hart, MD, is a cardiologist practicing in Portland, Oregon. While he offers services related to cardiac care, two publicly available patient reviews raise significant concerns regarding his bedside manner, communication style, and overall patient experience. Individuals searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me" should carefully consider this feedback and seek additional information from other sources to make an informed decision about their cardiovascular healthcare needs.

I left this Dr. a while back. There was zero concern for me. The amount of arrogance and know-it-all-all-ego was astounding. I was made to feel that I was an idiot! There was no communication on what I was to do after the appointment for follow-up, even though several assistants were wandering around. My primary got me set up with an AMAZING cardio team that saved my life! I’m so glad I got fed up and searched for a great team!

Being a patient of his for 6 years now I'm surprised to see the negative reviews and wanted to provide another opinion. He gave me back my quality of life after being undiagnosed a-fib for who knows how long. He's listens and cares about his patients, when I was at my worst he would call me at work to speak to me directly about whatever issue we were addressing at the time. I have a great deal of respect for this man.
