The provided reviews offer starkly different perspectives on the patient experience at Hurley Medical Center. One review paints a concerning picture of the hospital environment and staff behavior, alleging apathy towards patient rights, safety, dignity, and health. This reviewer described witnessing multiple potential HIPAA violations in the emergency room lobby and a lack of empathy and professionalism from some staff members, including a dismissive social worker and an impatient nurse. The reviewer also recounted a disturbing incident involving the handling of a distressed patient in the lobby. This overwhelmingly negative account suggests significant issues with patient care, communication, and staff conduct in at least some areas of the hospital.

In stark contrast, another review offers high praise for the "same day surgery" staff, describing them as "absolutely phenomenal" and highlighting the "excellent care" provided to the reviewer's son. Potential patients may want to inquire specifically about the cardiology department, the qualifications and patient reviews of the cardiologists on staff, and the protocols in place for ensuring patient rights and privacy. It is crucial to gather comprehensive information to make an informed decision about your healthcare needs. Exploring multiple options and potentially seeking recommendations from primary care physicians or other trusted sources may also be beneficial.

The Hurley Nurse staff we talked with were very caring and explained about the medical needs and updates we needed. Its so reassuring to have them there for us knowing we wont be left out not knowing the updates, conditions and times of appointed care give.
