Based on the limited online reviews provided, it's challenging to paint a comprehensive picture of the hospital's features. However, the reviews do offer some insights into patient experiences, particularly within the emergency department and pre-operative areas. One review commends a specific "RNR-DNP" (Registered Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice) for their helpfulness and for addressing a potential oversight in medication administration in the ER. This suggests the presence of qualified and attentive staff members within the hospital.

However, the same review also raises significant concerns regarding understaffing of the nursing team in the ER, leading to delays in patient care, specifically a two-hour wait for pain medication. Furthermore, the reviewer expressed serious concerns about potential HIPAA violations, citing instances of staff leaving workstations unlocked and visible to patients, including patient charts and confidential medical information. The presence of a visible floor summary with patient initials and last names was also noted as a privacy risk. These allegations, if accurate, point to potential systemic issues within the emergency department's operational procedures and staff adherence to privacy regulations.

Another review regarding a scheduled surgery experience on the second floor pre-op area describes the staff as "very unprofessional," citing loud and inappropriate conversations berating supervisors and coworkers within earshot of patients. This feedback suggests potential issues with staff conduct and professionalism in at least one area of the hospital.

It's important to note that these are individual accounts and may not represent the experiences of all patients at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital. However, they do highlight areas that prospective patients may want to consider and potentially inquire about if they choose to seek care at this facility. The positive mention of the registration process for scheduled surgery contrasts with the negative experiences in the pre-op area, indicating variability in patient experiences across different departments.

While one review highlights a positive interaction with a specific nurse practitioner in the ER, it also raises significant concerns regarding understaffing, delays in care, and potential HIPAA violations. Was there on 04/26/25 for a scheduled surgery.Nice faculty and registration was great. However pre op on 2nd floor was a joke. Staff very unprofessional. Was sitting 4rooms away from nurses station. And staff talking loud berating supervisors and co workers. So loud youd of thought they were bedside with us. Ive been to a few hospitals in my 60 years. And never experienced anything like this. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.
