HEARTSAVERNY - AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION Introduce

While the platform category is "Heart Doctor Near Me," HEARTSAVERNY - AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION, located at 3220 Church Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11226, USA, is primarily an educational institution offering various healthcare-related training courses, including CPR, CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), PCT (Patient Care Technician), Phlebotomy, and EKG (Electrocardiogram) training. They can be contacted at (718) 674-2647 or +1 718-674-2647. While not directly a "Heart Doctor Near Me" in terms of providing cardiac medical services, the courses offered, particularly CPR and EKG, are directly relevant to heart health and may be of interest to individuals seeking to enter the healthcare field or enhance their skills in cardiac care.

Based on the limited customer reviews, the environment at HEARTSAVERNY - AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION appears to be a learning facility focused on practical healthcare skills. One positive review highlights a positive experience in a CNA course, mentioning a knowledgeable and comfortable learning environment provided by Mrs. Gordon. This suggests that at least some of the classrooms or learning spaces are conducive to effective instruction. The same review also praises a male CPR instructor for delivering the "best class i’ve ever witnessed," indicating that the quality of instruction can be a strong point. However, another review paints a concerning picture, alleging unprofessionalism from instructors in Phlebotomy and EKG courses and discrepancies in the advertised in-person training schedule. This suggests potential inconsistencies in the quality of the learning environment and the professionalism of some instructors. The latter review also mentions the physical building having "STORE FOR RENT SIGNS" and a lack of communication regarding a potential closure, raising serious questions about the stability and operational status of the school.

The services offered by HEARTSAVERNY - AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION, as indicated by the customer reviews and the mention of specific courses, include:

  • CNA Course (Certified Nursing Assistant): This course trains individuals to provide basic care to patients in various healthcare settings.
  • CPR Classes (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation): These courses teach essential life-saving skills for responding to cardiac emergencies. The positive review suggests a high standard of CPR instruction.
  • PCT Courses (Patient Care Technician): These courses equip individuals with a broader range of skills to assist patients under the supervision of nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Phlebotomy Training: This course teaches the techniques for drawing blood for medical testing. The negative review raises concerns about the professionalism and teaching quality of the Phlebotomy instructor.
  • EKG Training (Electrocardiogram): This course teaches how to perform and interpret electrocardiograms, which are crucial for diagnosing heart conditions. Similar to the Phlebotomy course, the negative review expresses dissatisfaction with the EKG instructor's professionalism and teaching.

The features of HEARTSAVERNY - AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION that can be gleaned from the reviews are mixed. A knowledgeable and supportive instructor (Mrs. Gordon for the CNA course) and an excellent CPR instructor are highlighted as significant positives. The availability of various healthcare training courses under one roof could also be considered a feature. However, the alleged unprofessionalism of some instructors (Phlebotomy and EKG), the discrepancy in the advertised versus actual in-person training time, and the serious concerns about the school's potential closure and lack of communication are significant negative features that prospective students should consider.

The negative review also mentions a significant issue with the school allegedly failing to provide certificates to students who passed their exams months after completion. This, coupled with the "STORE FOR RENT" sign on the building and the lack of communication about a potential closure, raises serious concerns about the school's administrative practices and its ability to fulfill its commitments to students. The threat of legal action from a former student further underscores the severity of these issues.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for HEARTSAVERNY - AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION based on the provided data. Educational institutions sometimes offer discounts for early enrollment, package deals for multiple courses, or financial aid options. However, there is no mention of such promotions in the reviews. Given the serious concerns raised about the school's operational status and administrative practices, prospective students should exercise extreme caution and thoroughly investigate the current situation before enrolling in any courses.

In conclusion, while HEARTSAVERNY - AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION in Brooklyn offers several healthcare-related training courses, including those relevant to heart health like CPR and EKG, the limited customer reviews present a mixed and concerning picture. One review praises the CNA and CPR instruction, while another raises serious allegations of unprofessionalism from instructors in Phlebotomy and EKG, discrepancies in training schedules, failure to provide certificates, and a potential school closure with no communication to students. The presence of a "STORE FOR RENT" sign at the listed address and the threat of legal action are particularly alarming. For individuals in Brooklyn seeking healthcare training, especially in areas related to cardiac care, it is crucial to proceed with extreme caution and seek up-to-date information about the school's current operational status, instructor quality, and administrative reliability before making any enrollment decisions. Contacting the school directly at (718) 674-2647 to inquire about the current situation and verifying its legitimacy through other sources would be a prudent step.

Had an amazing CNA course with Mrs Gordon. The non teaching staff might seem rough in the beginning but they will warm up to you when they see what you’re about. Passed my test first try. Mrs Gordon was knowledgeable and will make you feel comfortable. I’ve taken CPR classes for more than 10 years and so far, the male CPR instructor gave the best class i’ve ever witnessed. Excellent experience overall. I will definitely come back for my PCT courses.

Best CPR BLS training I've ever taken. The instructor, Zomoria, is amazing. She's cheerful, funny, engaging and an exceptional educator. She referred to all trainees by name and encourages you to think outside the box with realistic scenarios. I'll be getting my renewals and other health related trainings from HeartSaverNY going forward. Highly recommend.
