Hamid Sattar, MD, FACC, FSCAI Introduce
For individuals in Dearborn, Michigan, and the surrounding areas seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," Hamid Sattar, MD, FACC, FSCAI, located at 6050 Greenfield Rd Ste 101, is a board-certified cardiologist with additional certifications as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI). These credentials signify Dr. Sattar's advanced training and expertise in the field of cardiology, indicating a commitment to high standards of patient care and specialized knowledge in cardiovascular medicine.
As a cardiologist with these prestigious fellowships, Dr. Sattar likely offers a comprehensive range of services related to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart and vascular diseases. While specific details of all services provided at his Dearborn office would require direct confirmation, based on his qualifications and the typical scope of practice for a cardiologist with FACC and FSCAI designations, potential services may include:
- **Comprehensive Cardiac Evaluations:** Thorough consultations for patients experiencing various cardiac symptoms, risk factors for heart disease, or those seeking routine cardiovascular check-ups.
- **Advanced Diagnostic Testing:** Ordering and interpreting a wide array of cardiac tests, including electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG), echocardiograms, stress tests (exercise and pharmacological), Holter and event monitoring, and potentially cardiac CT angiography.
- **Interventional Cardiology Procedures:** Given his FSCAI fellowship, Dr. Sattar likely performs interventional procedures such as coronary angiography, angioplasty (ballooning of narrowed arteries), and stent placement to treat coronary artery disease. He may also be involved in other interventional procedures.
- **Management of Complex Cardiac Conditions:** Developing and implementing treatment strategies for a variety of heart conditions, including acute myocardial infarction (heart attack), heart failure, arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats), valvular heart disease, and peripheral artery disease.
- **Medication Management:** Prescribing and managing cardiac medications, including antiplatelet agents, anticoagulants, beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, and statins, ensuring appropriate usage and addressing potential side effects.
- **Preventive Cardiology:** Focusing on risk factor modification through lifestyle recommendations, medication management, and patient education to prevent the onset or progression of cardiovascular disease.
- **Cardiac Catheterization:** Performing diagnostic and interventional procedures involving the insertion of catheters into the heart and blood vessels.
- **Peripheral Vascular Interventions:** Given his FSCAI credentials, Dr. Sattar may also perform interventions to treat blockages or narrowings in blood vessels outside the heart.
- **Follow-up Care:** Providing ongoing management and monitoring for patients with established cardiac conditions or those who have undergone cardiac procedures.
- **Patient Education:** Explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and the importance of adherence to medical advice and lifestyle changes.
The environment of Dr. Sattar's office at 6050 Greenfield Rd Ste 101 in Dearborn is likely a standard medical office setting designed for outpatient consultations and potentially some in-office diagnostic procedures. Patients can expect examination rooms and possibly areas equipped for basic cardiac testing. The focus is on providing a location for patients to meet with Dr. Sattar for evaluations and management of their cardiovascular health.
However, it is crucial to consider the significant negative feedback provided in the patient reviews. These reviews raise serious concerns about the administrative and logistical aspects of the practice, specifically regarding medication prior authorizations and communication. One patient, writing on January 16, 2025 (having been seen in November 2024), reported still not receiving their medication despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue with the staff responsible for prior authorizations. The lack of follow-through and communication described in this review is deeply concerning.
Another patient echoed these issues, detailing a similar timeline of delays and misinformation regarding a medication refill prescribed on November 4, 2024. This patient described a frustrating experience of being given the "run around" by staff, a denied prior authorization due to alleged lack of documentation, and ultimately receiving the wrong medication after weeks of waiting. This individual expressed strong negative feelings about the office's professionalism and even raised concerns about potential prejudice or racism due to the prolonged and mishandled medication process. This patient explicitly stated they would not return to this location.
A third, very brief review simply stated that Dr. Sattar "runs in the room and out," characterizing him as "not a doc" and a "waste of my time." This feedback suggests a perception of rushed consultations and a lack of thoroughness in patient interactions, at least in this particular instance.
These overwhelmingly negative reviews regarding administrative processes and perceived patient interaction are significant factors that potential local users seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" should carefully consider. While Dr. Sattar's credentials (MD, FACC, FSCAI) indicate a high level of medical training and expertise, the reported issues with his office's staff and the patient experience are serious concerns that could impact the quality of care from a patient's perspective.
Currently, there is no promotional information available for Dr. Hamid Sattar's practice. Given the severity of the negative feedback related to administrative functions, any potential benefits of choosing this practice based on Dr. Sattar's qualifications might be overshadowed by concerns about the overall patient experience.
Local users in Dearborn considering Dr. Sattar for their cardiac care needs should be aware of the significant issues raised in the recent patient reviews. While Dr. Sattar's medical credentials are noteworthy, the reported problems with medication authorizations, communication, and perceived patient interaction are critical factors to weigh. It may be prudent to seek additional information or consider alternative cardiologists in the area to ensure a smooth and effective healthcare experience.
To obtain more information about Dr. Sattar's services or to address the concerns raised in the reviews, individuals can contact his office at (313) 945-9000 or his mobile phone at +1 313-945-9000. The office is located at 6050 Greenfield Rd Ste 101, Dearborn, MI 48126, USA. When calling, it would be advisable to inquire specifically about their processes for medication prior authorizations and their approach to patient communication and follow-up.
In conclusion, while Dr. Hamid Sattar possesses impressive medical credentials as an MD, FACC, and FSCAI, the recent patient reviews for his Dearborn office raise significant concerns regarding administrative processes, particularly with medication prior authorizations and communication. One review also suggests dissatisfaction with the doctor's patient interaction style. Local users searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me" should carefully consider this feedback alongside Dr. Sattar's qualifications when making their healthcare decisions.

He runs in the room and out not a doc ...waste of my time
My mother died in 2022 while getting an angioplasty from Dr. Sattar.
Dr. Sattar is very thorough. Great bed side manner. Treats his patients with respect and listens to them. I highly suggest him if you need cardiac care.
Worst cardiologist, doesn't even have you go back to his office for regular pacemaker check. Lose pacemaker wire and he doesn't even seem to care. Wouldn't take my dog to see him................. I only gave him 1 star cause I had to. He doesn't even deserve that
