Dr. Peter D. Scalia, MD Introduce

For individuals in Eatontown, New Jersey, and the surrounding communities searching within the "Heart Doctor Near Me" category for a cardiologist, Dr. Peter D. Scalia, MD, is located at 234 Industrial Way West, Eatontown, NJ 07724, USA. It is important for prospective patients to consider all available information when choosing a healthcare provider. Currently, there is one patient review available online that directly pertains to Dr. Scalia's cardiac consultation style, which offers insights into a specific patient's experience.

The available patient review describes a consultation where the patient presented Dr. Scalia with test results indicating a Coronary Calcium Score of 206, with a specific concern regarding an anterior ventricular artery rating of 130. The patient expressed being "especially concerned" about these results. According to the review, Dr. Scalia entered the examination room while texting on his cell phone. He reportedly addressed a pre-existing aneurysm, stating there was no change and advised a follow-up in one year. The patient felt that Dr. Scalia "completely ignored the rest results," implying that he did not appear to have reviewed them adequately prior to or during the consultation. The reviewer concluded by stating they "might as well have been talking to a plumber," expressing significant dissatisfaction with the level of attention and care received regarding their cardiac test results.

Based solely on this single available review, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of the typical services offered by Dr. Peter D. Scalia, MD. However, as a cardiologist, it can be generally expected that his practice would encompass the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various heart conditions. These typically include coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiovascular disorders. Cardiologists utilize various diagnostic tools such as EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and the interpretation of imaging results like Coronary Calcium Scores to assess heart health and guide treatment strategies. The review, however, raises concerns about the thoroughness of the review of such diagnostic information in at least one instance.

The features of Dr. Scalia's practice, as perceived by the reviewing patient in this specific instance, include a perceived lack of thoroughness in reviewing critical test results and a consultation style that the patient found dismissive of their concerns. The fact that the doctor was reportedly texting upon entering the examination room might be interpreted as a lack of focus or undivided attention during the patient encounter. The discrepancy between the patient's significant concern about their Coronary Calcium Score and the doctor's focus solely on a pre-existing condition, without addressing the new findings, is a key point of criticism in the review.

It is important to note that this is a single patient's experience and may not be representative of every patient interaction with Dr. Scalia. However, for potential local users searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me," this feedback provides a direct account that should be considered alongside any other information they may gather. The review does not offer insights into the office environment, the helpfulness of the staff, or other aspects of the practice.

The second review provided in the initial information pertains to a "Dr Squillaro," who is described as a "fabulous surgeon" and a "wonderful person." This review details experiences related to the removal of a stricture and the implantation of a feeding tube, crediting Dr. Squillaro with saving the patient's life due to his personal involvement and care. The reviewer also praises Dr. Squillaro's patient-centered approach and the helpfulness of his office staff. It is crucial to recognize that this overwhelmingly positive review is for a different doctor, "Dr Squillaro," and does not provide any information about Dr. Peter D. Scalia, MD. Therefore, this feedback, while positive, should not be attributed to Dr. Scalia when considering his services.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Dr. Peter D. Scalia, MD. Individuals in the Eatontown, NJ, area searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me" may want to contact his office directly at (848) 208-2055 or +1 848-208-2055 to inquire about his specific services, his approach to reviewing diagnostic test results, and to determine if his consultation style aligns with their expectations. Asking specific questions about his experience with patients who have similar cardiac concerns or elevated Coronary Calcium Scores might be beneficial. It is also advisable to inquire about insurance coverage and appointment availability.

In conclusion, Dr. Peter D. Scalia, MD, is a cardiologist located in Eatontown, NJ. The single available patient review regarding a cardiac consultation raises concerns about the thoroughness of the review of test results and the doctor's attentiveness to the patient's specific concerns. While this is just one patient's experience, local users searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me" should consider this feedback when making their decision and may want to seek additional information or consider other cardiologists in the area to ensure their needs are met with the highest level of care and attention to detail. The positive review for a different physician, Dr. Squillaro, should not be considered when evaluating Dr. Scalia's services.

Recently took test results which indicated a Coronary Calcium Score of 206 for Dr Scalia to review. I was especially concerned about my anterior ventrical artery which had a rating of 130. He came into the exam room texting on his cell phone and addressed an aneuerism which he quicky commented that there was no change and to follow up in a year. He completely ignored the rest results appearing to have not even taken the time to review. I might as well have been talking to a plumber.

Dr. Scalia did a fantastic job with information and surgery (unplanned and immediate in my case) in which he also made me feel safe, secure, and comfortable. The after care process and appointments were quick and easy and the office staff is personable, caring, kind, and amenable.
