These generally include comprehensive cardiac evaluations, where Dr. Reed would review a patient's medical history, conduct physical examinations, and assess their risk factors for developing heart disease. She would likely order and interpret various diagnostic tests crucial for understanding heart function, such as electrocardiograms (ECGs) to measure the heart's electrical activity, echocardiograms to visualize the heart's structure and function using ultrasound, and potentially Holter monitors for continuous heart rhythm monitoring. Depending on the patient's needs, Dr. Reed would also likely manage conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), coronary artery disease (blockages in the heart's arteries), heart failure (weakened heart muscle), and arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats). The provided reviews offer mixed perspectives on Dr. Mona L. Reed's practice. One patient describes her as "very knowledgeable and easy to talk to," highlighting positive aspects of her professional demeanor and expertise. This suggests that when patients have direct interaction with Dr. Reed, they find her to be well-informed and approachable. However, the other, more detailed review raises significant concerns regarding appointment scheduling and the continuity of care. This patient reported multiple instances of seeing a nurse practitioner (or similar non-physician provider) for appointments specifically scheduled post-hospitalization, with Dr. Reed reportedly seeing other patients at those times. The review also mentions consistent lateness for scheduled appointments and a significant wait time for the final appointment, after which the patient chose to leave upon being seen by the nurse practitioner instead of the doctor. These experiences suggest potential issues with appointment management, communication regarding who the patient would be seeing, and punctuality. While Dr. Reed may indeed be knowledgeable and easy to communicate with when directly accessible, these reviews indicate potential challenges in consistently seeing her and experiencing timely appointments. As a local user searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me," it is important to consider these differing experiences when evaluating Dr. Reed's practice. While her knowledge is acknowledged, the reported issues with appointment scheduling and seeing the physician may be a significant factor for some individuals.

Currently, there is no explicit promotional information available for Dr. Mona L. Reed's practice in the provided text. Medical practices sometimes offer introductory consultations or participate in community health initiatives, but there is no mention of such activities in the given reviews. The primary value for local users seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" would be the accessibility of a cardiologist in their vicinity. Having a local cardiac specialist can facilitate timely appointments, especially for follow-up care and ongoing management of heart conditions. However, based on the available reviews, potential patients may want to inquire specifically about the scheduling process, the likelihood of seeing Dr. Reed for their appointments, and the typical wait times. Understanding the practice's policies regarding appointment scheduling and who patients can expect to see for their consultations would be crucial for making an informed decision. While the positive comment highlights Dr. Reed's knowledge and communication skills, the negative review raises important questions about the overall patient experience, particularly concerning appointment availability and wait times.

In conclusion, Dr. Mona L. Reed, MD, located in Cleveland, OH, at 11201 Shaker Blvd # 240, is a cardiologist who has been described as "very knowledgeable and easy to talk to" by one patient. However, another patient reported significant issues with appointment scheduling, consistent lateness, and not seeing Dr. Reed for multiple post-hospitalization appointments despite them being scheduled. For local users searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me," it is essential to consider both of these perspectives. While Dr. Reed's expertise is acknowledged, potential patients may want to directly contact her office at (216) 791-0017 or +1 216-791-0017 to inquire about their appointment policies, the typical wait times, and the likelihood of seeing Dr. Reed for their consultations. Gathering this information will help local users determine if Dr. Reed's practice aligns with their individual healthcare needs and preferences for cardiac care in the Cleveland area.

Dr. Reed is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to IF you can speak with her. I had 3 appts. post hospitalization. The second, and then going into the 3rd appt. I was seeing the nurse practitioner (?). Dr. Reed was seeing patients elsewhere at the time of my appts. I had scheduled appts. each time for which she was always late. My last appt. I waited 1hr 15min before I was called to the back. When the nurse practitioner walked in, not the doctor, I walked out.
