A significant feature of Dr. John J. Messina's practice is the positive feedback regarding his medical expertise and dedication to his patients. One particularly moving testimonial recounts an experience from over 25 years ago when the reviewer's son was born with an "extremely rare heart defect" while at St. Joseph's Hospital. The reviewer expressed immense gratitude for Dr. Messina, stating that he "fought for my son even with insurance" and described him as an "outstanding dr." The fact that the family still mentions and talks about their seven weeks in the ICU with him "often" underscores the profound impact of his care during a critical time. The reviewer concludes by stating, "Only for him I don’t know where we would be today," highlighting the life-saving and exceptional care provided by Dr. Messina.

This powerful testimonial speaks volumes about Dr. Messina's commitment to his patients, his willingness to advocate for them, and his expertise in managing complex and rare cardiac conditions. His long tenure in the field, as suggested by the 25-year timeframe of the review, indicates a wealth of experience in dealing with various cardiac issues.

Another patient review mentioned that Dr. Messina himself was "pleasant," further contributing to a positive impression of his bedside manner. However, this reviewer also noted a significant drawback: a "long wait to get an appointment," having to book in July for an appointment in September. This suggests that Dr. Messina may be a highly sought-after physician, potentially due to his reputation and the quality of care he provides. While a long wait for an appointment can be inconvenient, the reviewer still expressed overall happiness with the practice "so far," indicating that the perceived quality of care outweighs the scheduling challenge.

Given the information, it is reasonable to infer that Dr. Messina has a strong connection with St. Joseph's Hospital, where he was practicing over two decades ago. He may still have affiliations with this or other hospitals in the region, which could be important for patients requiring hospital-based procedures or specialized cardiac care. Prospective patients may wish to inquire about Dr. Messina's hospital affiliations when contacting his office.

This was a nice and clean office. The staff was nice and the doctor himself was pleasant. The only bad thing was there was a long wait to get an appointment. I had to book in July for an appointment in September. So far I am happy with the practice though.
