CUIMC/Milstein Hospital Building Introduce
CUIMC/Milstein Hospital Building, located at 177 Fort Washington Ave, New York, NY 10032, is a prominent hospital within the Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC). As a major medical facility, it provides a wide range of services, including those within the Cardiac Care Hospital platform category.
The Milstein Hospital Building is a large, modern medical facility with advanced medical technology and resources. It houses various departments and specialties, including cardiology, oncology, neurology, and surgery. This environment allows for comprehensive care, research, and medical education.
CUIMC/Milstein Hospital Building offers a broad spectrum of medical services, which may include:
- Cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology
- Cancer treatment and oncology services
- Neurological surgery and care
- General surgery and specialized procedures
- Emergency services
- Diagnostic imaging and laboratory services
- Inpatient and outpatient care
However, patient reviews reveal significant concerns regarding the hospital's administrative practices and patient experience. Several reviewers expressed dissatisfaction with the hospital's administrative staff and policies, citing issues such as:
- Poor administrative management and communication
- Excessive wait times for scheduled treatments
- Restrictive visitation policies, even in critical situations
- Lack of empathy and assistance from security personnel
- Difficulties in contacting patient services
One reviewer reported that their 86-year-old friend, a cancer patient, decided to discontinue treatment due to administrative frustrations. Another reviewer expressed that their mother, who underwent brain surgery, was unable to have both of her children by her bedside due to hospital policy. Multiple reviewers mentioned excessive wait times and a lack of assistance from staff.
These reviews highlight potential issues with:
- Administrative efficiency and responsiveness
- Patient-centered care and communication
- Hospital policies and their impact on patient and family experiences
While CUIMC/Milstein Hospital Building offers advanced medical care, potential patients should be aware of the reported administrative challenges and consider these factors when seeking treatment. It is advisable to address any concerns about hospital policies and procedures with the hospital administration directly.
For specific details regarding available services, appointment scheduling, and any current promotional information, please contact CUIMC/Milstein Hospital Building directly at (212) 305-2500 or +1 212-305-2500. Due to the reported patient experience concerns, it is recommended to discuss any questions or concerns with hospital staff prior to any scheduled treatments.

20 yrs ago this was and Excellent hospital. Now February 2025๐๐ฝ. The Milstein building 5GN is horrible at night. If you need to see a doctor no one shows up. From 11:20pm until 1:32am. A Dr. Patel finally showed up. Still no help. Shame on you New York Presbyterian Columbia hospital. It is NOW 2:10am and Dr. Patel never came back. Once again he wrote a prescription for Tylenol. And Gabapentin which I cannot take as per my kidney doctor.
