Dr. Eman Hamad, MD Introduce
For individuals in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," Dr. Eman Hamad, MD, is a cardiologist located at 3401 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19140, USA. It is essential for potential patients to consider all available information, including patient reviews, when choosing a healthcare provider. The provided feedback regarding Dr. Hamad raises significant concerns about service quality and patient care.
One review expresses deep dissatisfaction with the service received from Dr. Eman Hamad, specifically concerning the consideration of older patients for heart transplantation. The reviewer alleges that Dr. Hamad "will not consider older patients for heart transplant, even if Temple shows they will." This is a serious accusation, suggesting a potential bias based on age in determining eligibility for a life-saving procedure. The reviewer further claims that Dr. Hamad makes excuses to exclude older patients and exhibits a "dismissive attitude and no empathy." Such feedback, if accurate, indicates a significant lack of patient-centered care and raises ethical concerns about equitable access to treatment.
Another review details a negative experience with a telehealth video appointment scheduled for the reviewer's mother without prior knowledge. The appointment was set for 9:30 am, and the reviewer was only informed via text the day before, requiring them to adjust their schedule. As of the time of the review, over an hour had passed with no communication from the doctor. Upon calling the office, the reviewer reports that the staff was "very rude," stating that the wait would be "whatever time it takes." This experience highlights significant issues with appointment scheduling, communication, and the professionalism of the office staff. A prolonged, unexplained wait for a telehealth appointment, coupled with a rude response from the office, suggests a lack of respect for patients' time and a breakdown in customer service.
Given the serious nature of the allegations in these reviews, potential patients seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" in Philadelphia should exercise considerable caution when considering Dr. Eman Hamad. The feedback points to potential issues with patient communication, empathy, and equitable treatment considerations, particularly concerning older patients and heart transplantation. The negative experience with telehealth scheduling and the reported rudeness of the office staff further contribute to concerns about the overall quality of care and patient experience at this practice.
Information regarding the specific environment of Dr. Hamad's office, the comprehensive range of cardiology services offered (beyond heart transplantation considerations), or any promotional information is not provided in the available text. Therefore, an objective introduction based solely on this information must heavily emphasize the serious negative feedback received from these patients.
Local users searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me" in Philadelphia who specializes in cardiology, including potential consideration for heart transplantation, should be aware of these patient experiences with Dr. Eman Hamad. The allegations of age-based exclusion for transplant eligibility and the poor handling of a telehealth appointment are significant factors to consider when making healthcare decisions. It is strongly recommended that potential patients seek additional information, consider second opinions from other cardiologists in the Philadelphia area, and thoroughly research the practices of any healthcare provider they are considering.
The affiliation of Dr. Hamad with Temple Health, as mentioned in one review, might typically suggest a connection to a larger medical system with established protocols. However, the negative feedback provided here raises questions about the implementation of patient-centered care within this specific practice. Potential patients may wish to inquire with Temple Health directly about patient experience standards and grievance procedures.
In conclusion, the available information regarding Dr. Eman Hamad, MD, in Philadelphia consists of two negative patient reviews. These reviews raise serious concerns about the doctor's approach to older patients regarding heart transplantation, alleging a dismissive attitude and a lack of empathy. Additionally, a poor experience with telehealth scheduling and rude office staff behavior are reported. Local users seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" should carefully consider this feedback and are strongly advised to conduct thorough research and seek alternative opinions before choosing Dr. Hamad for their cardiac care.

Poor service from Eman Hamad; will not consider older patients for heart transplant, even if temple shows they will. Make excuses to exclude older patients for heart transplant. Dismissive attitude and no empathy.
The telehealth video appointment was made for my Mom, without our knowledge at their office for 9:30am. I only found out via text about it the day prior. So I moved my schedule around to make sure I could accommodate them. It is now past 1 hour waiting to speak with the doctor via video. Unacceptable. I did call the office but they were very rude stating it will take whatever time it takes
Dr. Eman came in to discuss my brothers care and was very nasty. All the doctor was concerned about was his not having insurance. I asked if that would affect his care at the hospital and she said "of course". She was very short with all of my questions and gave no update on his condition when asked, but continued to focus on his insurance status. Worst service ever at a hospital.
Simply put, she helped save my life. Great doctor, nice bedside manner. She answers your questions and listens to your concerns.
