Diagnostic & Rehabilitative Center of Morris Hospital Introduce

For residents in Morris, Illinois, and the surrounding communities seeking comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative services, the Diagnostic & Rehabilitative Center of Morris Hospital, located at 100 Gore Rd, offers a multidisciplinary approach to health and recovery. While the center's name encompasses a broad range of services, including rehabilitation therapies that are crucial for individuals recovering from cardiac events, it serves as a valuable resource that complements the care provided by a "Heart Doctor Near Me." The center's integration with Morris Hospital suggests a commitment to a continuum of care, ensuring that patients have access to various specialists and services as needed.

Based on the provided patient reviews, the environment and staff at the Diagnostic & Rehabilitative Center appear to be generally positive, particularly within the physical therapy department. One patient, Marc Chignoli, shared a very positive experience following elbow surgery performed by Dr. Williams. While not directly related to cardiac care, his feedback highlights the center's commitment to rehabilitation, specifically praising the physical therapy team of Ryan, Gianna, and Trish. He describes their scheduling and training as "smooth" and notes the personal and welcoming atmosphere, with consistent greetings and smiles. This positive feedback suggests a patient-focused environment within the rehabilitation services.

However, another review presents a contrasting experience with the front desk staff during evening hours. The reviewer recounts a situation where her stepdaughter was denied treatment due to the stepfather not being the biological parent, and the front desk staff member was perceived as rude and unhelpful in resolving the issue promptly. While this incident did not directly involve cardiac care or the rehabilitation services, it raises concerns about the consistency of patient service and communication at the facility's administrative level. It is important to consider both positive and negative feedback to gain a balanced understanding of the overall patient experience.

Given the name "Diagnostic & Rehabilitative Center," the services offered likely encompass a broad spectrum, including those relevant to cardiac health and recovery. In the context of finding a "Heart Doctor Near Me," this center would primarily play a role in post-acute care and rehabilitation following cardiac events or procedures recommended by a cardiologist. The services typically offered at such a center include:

  • Cardiac Rehabilitation: A medically supervised program designed to improve cardiovascular health after a heart attack, heart failure, angioplasty, heart surgery, or for individuals with other heart conditions. This usually includes supervised exercise, education on heart-healthy living, and counseling to reduce stress and improve emotional well-being.
  • Physical Therapy: While the positive review focused on orthopedic rehabilitation, physical therapy is also crucial for cardiac patients to regain strength, improve endurance, and enhance their overall functional capacity.
  • Occupational Therapy: Helping patients regain independence in daily living activities, which can be particularly important for those recovering from significant cardiac events.
  • Speech Therapy: Although less directly related to cardiac care, speech therapy may be needed for patients who have experienced strokes or other conditions that can affect communication and swallowing.
  • Sports Medicine: While not solely focused on cardiac patients, sports medicine services can be relevant for individuals with heart conditions who are looking to safely return to physical activity.
  • Diagnostic Services: The "Diagnostic" aspect of the center's name suggests the availability of certain diagnostic tests. While these may not be as specialized as those found in a cardiac-specific center, they could include services like ECGs or basic cardiovascular assessments. It is advisable to confirm the specific diagnostic capabilities with the center directly.

A key feature of a rehabilitation center like this is the multidisciplinary team approach. For cardiac rehabilitation, this team typically includes exercise physiologists, nurses, dietitians, and counselors who work together to create an individualized plan for each patient. The positive review highlights the effectiveness and patient-centered approach of the physical therapy team, suggesting a similar dedication may extend to other rehabilitation services, including cardiac rehab.

Information regarding specific promotional offers or specialized programs at the Diagnostic & Rehabilitative Center of Morris Hospital would be best obtained by contacting them directly. In conclusion, for individuals in Morris, IL, seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" for post-acute care and rehabilitation, the Diagnostic & Rehabilitative Center of Morris Hospital offers a range of services, including cardiac rehabilitation. If I could give 0 stars I would. Misdiagnosed twice on each different visits. One time with me and one time with my child. The only good thing I could say is a nurse was really sweet to my toddler other than that...dont come!

Greedy! While the immediate cares in Coal City, Dwight or Joliet only charge for a doctors visit this place has swindled their way to charge for another visit that makes your copy over double what the others charge. I would not recommend going here unless it is a last place available. This place is the poster child of how greedy the medical field has become.

the doctors are friendly, personable and intelligent. they, of course, hail from all over. plenty of shared glances, eye-talk, and typical, silent midwestern hostility from the frosty local townies working the desks, however.
