The provided patient reviews offer a glimpse into the experiences of individuals who have interacted with the Cardiology services at the Heart Institute. One review expresses a highly positive experience, highlighting the friendliness, thoroughness, and knowledge of the cardiology team, including Dr. Koop. The reviewer specifically mentions having undergone various diagnostic tests and a follow-up appointment, emphasizing a proactive approach to scheduling care and a positive overall impression of the clinic.

In contrast, the second review presents a significantly negative experience. This patient, diagnosed with atrial fibrillation at Cape Coral Hospital and under the care of a cardiologist associated with "LPG Cardiology" (likely a physician group affiliated with the Heart Institute), reports a critical issue with follow-up appointment scheduling. Despite being advised to schedule an appointment within one week post-discharge, the patient was allegedly told the next available appointment was several months later. The reviewer expresses strong dissatisfaction with the perceived lack of care and concern, particularly given the urgency of their condition and the risk of stroke associated with afib. This review serves as a cautionary note regarding potential administrative challenges in scheduling timely follow-up care.

It is important to consider both perspectives when evaluating the Cardiology services at the Heart Institute. The positive review suggests a competent and caring clinical team, while the negative review raises concerns about administrative processes and the potential for delays in accessing necessary follow-up care. I had previously been admitted for chest pains, and Dr Thano ordered an ECG, 24-hour heart monitoring, and an EKG. I had a follow-up EKG yesterday with Dr. Koop, and his cardiology team. They are very friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable. I would emphatically recommend their clinic to anyone seeking good cardiology care. Moreover, they called me to schedule this appointment.
