Ballad Health CVA Heart Institute Introduce
For individuals in the Bristol, TN area seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," Ballad Health CVA Heart Institute, located at 271 Medical Park Blvd 1st Floor, Bristol, TN 37620, USA, can be contacted at (423) 274-8600 or +1 423-274-8600. While part of a larger health system (Ballad Health), recent patient reviews present significant concerns regarding the quality of care, communication, and ethical practices at this specific institute.
Based on the limited reviews available, the environment and services at Ballad Health CVA Heart Institute appear to have serious shortcomings in certain aspects. One patient detailed a deeply troubling experience involving a referral for tachycardia and heart arrhythmias. After waiting months for an appointment, they were seen for a mere seven minutes by a doctor named Catherine, who reportedly dismissed their concerns based on a brief visual assessment, recommending a follow-up in a year without further testing. Shockingly, the patient had a seizure later that same day and was diagnosed with an abnormal EKG in the emergency room, highlighting a severe lapse in the initial evaluation at the CVA Heart Institute. This raises significant concerns about the thoroughness of initial consultations and the potential for misdiagnosis or dismissal of serious symptoms.
The same review further describes a frustrating and potentially unethical billing practice, where the patient was charged over $375 for the brief and seemingly inadequate seven-minute consultation. Subsequent experiences with other Ballad Health ER doctors indicated the need for stress tests and echocardiograms, yet the patient faced further delays and cancellations orchestrated by the same Dr. Catherine, allegedly as retaliation for the patient seeking a second opinion. This suggests a punitive and unprofessional environment where personal grievances may impact patient care and access to necessary medical testing. The involvement of the office manager, Kelly H., who is accused of making false entries in the patient's chart, further exacerbates these concerns, pointing to a potentially toxic administrative environment that does not prioritize patient advocacy or ethical conduct.
In contrast to this severely negative account, another patient reported a positive experience with a Dr. Mohammed, describing him as compassionate and caring. However, this positive feedback is tempered by a significant issue with follow-up appointment scheduling, where the practice shifted from scheduling appointments at the end of a visit to calling patients later, a process that reportedly failed on two occasions. This inconsistency in administrative procedures and communication further underscores potential systemic issues within the institute.
The services that Ballad Health CVA Heart Institute should offer, given its name, would typically include a range of cardiac diagnostic procedures (such as EKGs, Holter monitoring, echocardiograms, and stress tests), consultations with cardiologists, and management of various heart conditions (like arrhythmias, tachycardia, coronary artery disease, and heart failure). However, the negative review casts serious doubt on the quality and accessibility of these services, particularly regarding initial evaluations and the timely provision of necessary diagnostic testing. The cancellation of scheduled tests and referrals based on alleged personal conflict is a severe breach of patient trust and professional conduct.
Features that might typically be considered positive, such as experienced cardiologists and access to advanced cardiac technology through the Ballad Health system, are overshadowed by the serious allegations of unethical behavior, poor communication, and inadequate initial assessments. The fact that one patient felt compelled to record conversations with the office manager due to concerns about misrepresentation speaks volumes about the lack of trust and transparency they experienced. Any potential positive features are rendered irrelevant when fundamental ethical and patient care standards appear to be compromised.
There is no positive promotional information to extract from the provided reviews. Instead, the overwhelming message is one of caution and concern. The detailed account of dismissed symptoms leading to a serious medical event, coupled with allegations of retaliatory actions and unethical administrative practices, serves as a stark warning for potential patients. Any promotional efforts by the institute would need to address these serious allegations and demonstrate a commitment to ethical conduct, thorough patient care, and reliable communication.
For local users in Taiwan who might be researching cardiac care options for themselves or loved ones in the Bristol, TN area, the recent reviews of Ballad Health CVA Heart Institute paint a concerning picture. The serious allegations of inadequate initial assessment, unethical cancellation of appointments, and misrepresentation in patient records should be given significant weight. While one doctor is mentioned positively, the systemic issues highlighted in the negative review raise serious questions about the overall quality and reliability of care at this institute. It would be prudent to seek further reviews and potentially consider alternative cardiac care providers in the region.
Considering the "Heart Doctor Near Me" platform category, the recent feedback strongly suggests that local users in Bristol, TN, should exercise extreme caution when considering Ballad Health CVA Heart Institute. The detailed account of potentially life-threatening misdiagnosis, retaliatory actions, and unethical administrative conduct raises red flags about the institute's commitment to patient well-being and ethical practices. While one positive mention exists, the severity of the negative experiences warrants thorough investigation and consideration of alternative providers to ensure safe and reliable cardiac care.
In conclusion, the recent patient reviews for Ballad Health CVA Heart Institute in Bristol, TN, present significant concerns regarding the quality of initial assessments, communication, ethical conduct, and administrative practices. The detailed account of a near-missed diagnosis, retaliatory cancellation of appointments, and alleged misrepresentation by the office manager paint a troubling picture. While one positive mention of a doctor exists, the serious nature of the negative experiences necessitates extreme caution for individuals seeking "Heart Doctor Near Me" in the Bristol area. Further investigation and consideration of alternative providers are strongly recommended.

Dr. Mohammed is a very compassionate and caring doctor. My experience has been a good one except for one change that was made. When I first started going to CVA my Dr, who was Dr. Salamet, would schedule follow up appointments so when I left I would know when to come back. Now after an appointment I am told that they would call me. I was told this twice and was never contacted. If this was fixed I could give it a five star rating.
Dr. Gargus, along with the cath lab staff, treated me with so much respect. Plus the fact I had to see them on 2 different occasions. They calmed my anxiety. They are the best! ♥️🙏
