Abingdon Heart Care & Prevention Introduce

For individuals in Abingdon, Virginia, seeking a healthcare provider specializing in both cardiology and internal medicine within the "Heart Doctor Near Me" category, Abingdon Heart Care & Prevention, located at 1237 W Main St, presents itself as a potential option. While specific details regarding the clinic's environment, comprehensive services, unique features, and any current promotional activities require direct confirmation from the practice, the available information, including a customer review, offers some insight into what local users might expect.

When considering a "Heart Doctor Near Me," the environment of the clinic contributes to the overall patient experience. Abingdon Heart Care & Prevention likely strives to provide a professional and comfortable setting for consultations, examinations, and potentially some basic cardiac testing. Medical offices typically include reception areas designed for patient convenience, private consultation rooms where medical history and health concerns can be discussed confidentially, and examination rooms equipped for necessary assessments. Cleanliness, patient privacy, and a focus on creating a reassuring atmosphere are generally important aspects of healthcare facilities.

In terms of services, Abingdon Heart Care & Prevention, under the care of Lacy Moreas, who is identified as both a cardiologist and internist, likely offers a dual approach to patient health. As a cardiologist within the "Heart Doctor Near Me" category, the practice would provide a range of cardiac services. These typically include comprehensive cardiac evaluations, encompassing a review of medical history, physical examinations, and discussions about any cardiac symptoms or risk factors. Diagnostic testing is a crucial component, potentially including electrocardiograms (ECGs/EKGs), echocardiograms, stress tests, and Holter or event monitoring to assess heart function and identify potential issues. Furthermore, the practice would be involved in the management and treatment of various cardiovascular conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. Treatment plans would likely involve lifestyle modifications, medication management, and referrals for more specialized interventional procedures or surgery when necessary.

The added expertise in internal medicine, as indicated by the review mentioning Lacy Moreas as an internist, suggests a more holistic approach to patient care. Internal medicine physicians are trained to diagnose and manage a wide range of complex illnesses affecting adults. This dual specialization could be a significant feature of Abingdon Heart Care & Prevention, allowing for a more integrated understanding of how overall health impacts cardiac health and vice versa. This might be particularly beneficial for patients with multiple health conditions or those seeking a comprehensive approach to their well-being.

One of the provided customer reviews offers a positive perspective, describing Lacy Moreas as "very concerned and knowledgeable" and highlighting her dedication to spending time with patients and guiding them toward recovery. The review also mentions her belief in the body's ability to heal and her approach to guiding patients in that direction. This suggests a patient-centered approach where education and lifestyle guidance may play a significant role in the overall treatment strategy.

However, it is crucial to acknowledge the second review, which presents a contrasting experience. This review expresses dissatisfaction, alleging a change in the doctor's approach over time and suggesting a delay in necessary intervention. This highlights the importance of considering multiple perspectives and conducting thorough personal research when choosing a healthcare provider. While this review is a single anecdotal account, it underscores the subjective nature of patient experiences and the need for individuals to find a healthcare provider who meets their specific needs and with whom they feel comfortable and confident.

Given the limited information available, specific features that might further define Abingdon Heart Care & Prevention are not fully discernible. These could include the availability of specific diagnostic technologies on-site, the involvement of other healthcare professionals (such as nurses or physician assistants), the practice's affiliations with local hospitals or medical networks, and their approach to patient communication and follow-up care. Information regarding these aspects would typically be found on the practice's website or by contacting their office directly.

Similarly, without further information, details regarding any promotional activities or special programs offered by Abingdon Heart Care & Prevention are unavailable. It is possible that the practice offers new patient consultations or participates in local health awareness initiatives. To inquire about any such promotions or to understand their approach to new patients, contacting their office directly at (276) 676-2211 or +1 276-676-2211 would be the most effective way to obtain this information.

In conclusion, for individuals in Abingdon, VA, seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," Abingdon Heart Care & Prevention, with Lacy Moreas as the likely primary physician, offers services in both cardiology and internal medicine. The positive review suggests a caring and knowledgeable approach, while the negative review highlights the importance of individual experiences and thorough research. To gain a comprehensive understanding of the clinic's environment, the full scope of their services, their specific features, and any potential promotions, direct contact with Abingdon Heart Care & Prevention is recommended. This will allow local users to make an informed decision about their cardiac and internal medicine healthcare needs.

Lacy Moreas is a very concerned and knowledgeable cardiologist and internist. She spends time with her patients and guides them toward returning health. She believes that God designed our bodies to heal themselves and guides her patients to do just that. I would not want another cardiologist.

She took care of me for 20 years. Then she got money hungry and quit caring . If I had continued going to her I would be dead now.. With in a week after seeing another doctor I was having bypass surgery.
