For individuals in Roanoke, Virginia, searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me," we present information regarding Alexander G. Vigh, DO, located at 2001 Crystal Spring Ave SW Ste 203, Roanoke, VA 24014, USA. Dr. Vigh can be contacted at (540) 982-8204 or +1 540-982-8204. It is important to consider all available information, including patient reviews, when making healthcare decisions.
The provided customer reviews for Dr. Vigh present a concerning perspective on his patient interactions. One reviewer found Dr. Vigh to be "very curt and rude," feeling that he was unwilling to dedicate even a few moments of his time despite the importance of the heart. This individual expressed concern about how Dr. Vigh might treat others he perceives he can treat poorly.
Another comment, seemingly from someone familiar with Dr. Vigh's personal life, states they "hear he refuses to help his son with a chronic condition, even though things are very rough for him." This reviewer labels Dr. Vigh as "very twisted," questioning his compassion, which they believe should be inherent in healthcare, and advises others to "Avoid this doctor." While this review touches on personal matters, it contributes to the overall sentiment expressed in the feedback.
A further review describes a direct experience with Dr. Vigh following a referral from their cardiologist. This patient also found Dr. Vigh to be "very rude" and unwilling to listen to what they had to say. They recounted a discussion where Dr. Vigh suggested a hospital stay in the cardiac unit to assess the effectiveness of a medication, mentioning a potential "deadly arithmetic issue" if it didn't work. The patient, stating they could not afford this, felt Dr. Vigh tried to push for this course of action by calling to set up an appointment. Ultimately, this patient requested another doctor.
Given the consistent negative feedback regarding Dr. Vigh's demeanor and communication style, it is challenging to positively describe the environment of his practice based solely on these reviews. Patients who describe a doctor as curt, rude, and unwilling to listen likely did not experience a welcoming or comfortable environment. The reviews suggest a potentially tense or dismissive atmosphere during consultations. Without any positive feedback to counter these accounts, it is reasonable to infer that some patients have found the environment of Dr. Vigh's practice to be unsatisfactory in terms of interpersonal interactions.
As a DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine), Dr. Vigh has completed medical training with an emphasis on a holistic approach to patient care. His presence in the "Heart Doctor Near Me" category indicates that he practices cardiology, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases of the heart and blood vessels. While the specific services offered by Dr. Vigh are not detailed in the reviews, standard cardiology services typically include diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms (EKGs), echocardiograms, stress tests, and the management of conditions like hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias. However, the negative reviews primarily focus on his interpersonal skills rather than the technical aspects of his medical services.
Based on the provided feedback, the prominent features associated with Dr. Vigh, unfortunately, revolve around negative patient experiences. These include:
- Rudeness and Curtness: Multiple reviewers describe him as rude and curt.
- Unwillingness to Listen: Patients felt he did not want to hear their concerns.
- Lack of Compassion (Perceived): One reviewer questioned his compassion based on a personal matter they heard about.
- PotentiallyPushy Approach: One patient felt pressured towards a treatment they couldn't afford.

In summary, Alexander G. Vigh, DO, is a cardiologist located in Roanoke, VA. The available patient reviews raise significant concerns regarding his interpersonal skills, with multiple patients describing him as rude, curt, and unwilling to listen. Doctor Vigh was very curt and rude to me. He didn't want to give me a few moments of his time even though the heart is a sort of important part of the body. I can't imagine how he treated those he can get away with treating badly. I know the family, and hear he refuses to help his son with a chronic condition, even though things are very rough for him. Very twisted, I thought healthcare was about compassion for those in dire straights. Avoid this doctor.
I saw Dr. Vigh for a referral from my Cardiologist. He was very rude didn't want to listen to what I had to say. Talking to my wife and I said, if you don't want this we can't stop right here. Talking about going into hospital in cardiac unit to see if med he was gonna work or cause a deadly arithmetic issue. I could not afford that. Tried to push it by giving me a call to set up appt. I requested another Dr.
