Zachary George, MD Introduce
For local users seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" in the Gainesville, Georgia area, Dr. Zachary George, MD, provides cardiac care services at 200 S Enota Dr NE Ste. 100, Gainesville, GA 30501, USA. You can contact his office at (770) 534-2020 or +1 770-534-2020 for inquiries or to schedule an appointment. While specific details about the clinic's environment are not extensively detailed in the provided information, we can infer some aspects based on the nature of a cardiology practice.
Typically, a cardiology clinic like that of Dr. Zachary George would offer a professional and comfortable setting for patients. This would likely include a reception area for patient check-in and waiting, private examination rooms for consultations and initial assessments, and potentially areas equipped for basic cardiac diagnostic tests. Depending on the scope of services offered directly at this location, there might also be facilities for minor procedures or pre-operative and post-operative consultations. The overall environment in a doctor's office is usually geared towards being clean, organized, and reassuring to ensure patient comfort and confidence in the care provided. While the specifics of Dr. George's office decor or additional amenities are unknown, the primary focus would be on facilitating effective medical consultations and examinations related to cardiac health.
As a cardiologist, Dr. Zachary George, MD, would specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and conditions affecting the heart and blood vessels. The services offered would likely encompass a range of cardiac care, including but not limited to: comprehensive cardiac evaluations, management of common cardiovascular conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), coronary artery disease (including angina and heart attacks), heart failure, arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats), and hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol). Based on one of the provided reviews, Dr. George has experience performing Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) closure surgeries, indicating a potential specialization or expertise in interventional cardiology or structural heart disease. A PFO is a small opening between the upper chambers of the heart that sometimes needs to be closed if it causes problems. This suggests that Dr. George may offer services beyond basic cardiology consultations and could be involved in more specialized cardiac procedures. He would also likely provide preventive cardiology services, helping patients understand their risk factors for heart disease and develop strategies for a heart-healthy lifestyle.
The two customer reviews provide contrasting perspectives on Dr. George's practice. One review expresses strong positive feedback, with the patient stating, "We love Dr George!!" They specifically highlight his successful PFO closure surgery on the patient's husband, noting the "great outcome." The reviewer also appreciated Dr. George's thorough explanations of what to expect after the surgery and highly recommends him. This review speaks to Dr. George's surgical skills, his ability to communicate effectively with patients, and the positive results he can achieve.
In contrast, the second review presents a negative experience related to the discontinuation of care for Select Health patients. The reviewer states that Dr. George did not provide these patients with the "professional courtesy" of informing them about this change, leading to issues with prescription refills. The reviewer expresses disappointment with this lack of communication. This feedback raises concerns about the administrative aspects of Dr. George's practice and his communication with patients during transitions in their care. It is important for local users to consider both of these viewpoints when evaluating Dr. George.
Features of Dr. Zachary George's practice, based on the limited review information, include his expertise in performing PFO closure surgeries, which suggests a potential specialization in interventional cardiology or structural heart disease. The positive review also highlights his ability to explain medical procedures clearly and achieve positive surgical outcomes. However, the negative review points to a potential issue with communication and patient notification regarding changes in practice that could affect their ongoing care. Therefore, while Dr. George appears to have strong clinical skills in certain areas, potential patients may want to inquire about his communication practices and how transitions in care are managed.
The provided information does not contain any details regarding promotional offers or specific programs associated with Dr. Zachary George's practice. Local users interested in learning about any such initiatives are advised to contact his office directly at the provided phone numbers. It is possible that the practice participates in broader healthcare programs or offers standard services related to cardiac health awareness, but without specific information, this cannot be confirmed.
In conclusion, Dr. Zachary George, MD, located in Gainesville, GA, offers cardiac care services, including specialized procedures like PFO closure surgery. He has received positive feedback regarding his surgical skills and patient communication in the context of surgical procedures. However, a negative review highlights potential concerns about communication during transitions in patient care. Local users seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" in Gainesville should consider Dr. George's potential expertise in interventional cardiology, but may also want to inquire about his communication practices and the overall patient experience at his clinic to ensure it aligns with their needs and expectations.

We love Dr George!! He performed a PFO closure surgery on my husband last December and it was such a great outcome!! He explained everything perfectly so we knew what to expect after surgery. Highly recommend him!
When dumping all his Select Health patients Dr George did not give those patients the professional courtesy of letting them know. So your heart pill prescription is void, but you don’t find out until your refill is refused. Not impressed.
Had a good visit with Dr George
