Windham Cardiology Introduce

Within the "Heart Doctor Near Me" platform category, we are presenting information about Windham Cardiology, located at 5 Founders St #102, Willimantic, CT 06226, USA. As part of the Hartford Healthcare network, Windham Cardiology aims to provide cardiac care services to the local community. For those in Willimantic and surrounding areas seeking a heart doctor, understanding the experiences of previous patients can be helpful in making informed decisions about their healthcare.

The provided reviews offer direct insights from individuals who have interacted with Windham Cardiology. It's important to consider these perspectives when evaluating the clinic's environment, services, and overall patient experience.

One patient reports significant issues with the clinic's efficiency, stating, "They are extremely slow here and disorganized 8/10 times. Easily wasting 30-60+ minutes for your appointment. Unsure how this is Hartford healthcare but they don't seem to have notes from other hhc providers." This feedback raises concerns about appointment wait times and the organizational aspects of the practice. The mention of potential difficulties in accessing medical records from other Hartford Healthcare providers could also be a factor for patients who have received care within that network previously.

The same review also touches upon the variability in staff demeanor, noting, "If you are lucky you will get friendly workers if not you will get rude dismissive ones. It's really unfortunate." This suggests a potential inconsistency in the patient service experience, which can impact overall satisfaction and comfort levels during visits.

Another patient shares a particularly negative experience, stating, "Hartford Healthcare is horrible. Windham cardiology is horrible. I was having chest pains, still do, and from having covid and hospitalized I was told I had an enlarged heart, was why I went here. I went through tests last Summer and never heard a word and was told the doctor I saw went away for a few months!! Then last month they called me and said Dr. Jacobsen (sp?)wanted to see me. Really? 9 month later! Probably because they don't have enough patients to fill their pockets. He was so rude to begin with and uncaring and now he wants to see me? Obviously there was nothing wrong. Don't go here!"

This detailed account raises several serious concerns. The significant delay in follow-up after tests (nine months) is a critical point. Additionally, the patient describes feeling that the doctor was rude and uncaring during their interaction. These are significant factors for individuals seeking compassionate and timely cardiac care. The patient's frustration and recommendation against using Windham Cardiology should be carefully considered.

Based on the limited information and the provided reviews, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of the environment, specific services offered, and unique features of Windham Cardiology. However, we can infer some aspects based on the feedback:

  • Potential for Long Wait Times: Multiple instances suggest that patients may experience significant delays for their appointments.
  • Organizational Issues: The clinic may face challenges in terms of organization and efficient patient flow.
  • Inconsistent Customer Service: Patient experiences with staff can vary, ranging from friendly to rude and dismissive.
  • Communication Concerns: There may be issues with timely communication of test results and follow-up appointments.
  • Integration with Hartford Healthcare: One patient expressed concerns about the seamless transfer of medical information within the Hartford Healthcare network.

Given the nature of the feedback, it is difficult to highlight specific positive features or promotional information for Windham Cardiology based solely on these reviews. The prevailing sentiment in the provided comments is negative, focusing on issues related to efficiency, communication, and patient care.

Everyone has been especially helpful and considerate. I'm a 77-year-old overweight man. Dr. Jacobs has been doing whatever can be done to monitor blood pressure and cardiac function. So far, so good.United Health Care has covered everything and Quest and Mychartplus provide results quickly. It is up to me to keep taking the meds and keep trying to lose weight.

Most unprofessional phone conversation I ever had with cardiologist office. M.A. was patronizing and pre-judging my intent to see the Doctor. Unbelievable.
