Walter Mashman, MD Introduce

For individuals in the Atlanta area seeking a cardiologist within the platform category "Heart Doctor Near Me," Walter Mashman, MD, located at 275 Collier Rd NW Suite 500, Atlanta, GA 30309, USA, is a practicing physician. Dr. Mashman's practice aims to provide care for a range of cardiovascular health needs within the local community.

As a cardiologist, Dr. Mashman likely offers a variety of services related to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart and vascular conditions. These typically include initial consultations, comprehensive physical examinations, and the use of diagnostic tools such as electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG), echocardiography, stress testing, and potentially the interpretation of more advanced cardiac imaging and catheterization results. While specific details about Dr. Mashman's areas of expertise and the complete scope of services offered at his clinic are best obtained directly from his office, general cardiology practices address conditions like hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and high cholesterol.

The office of Dr. Walter Mashman shares the same address as several other medical professionals previously mentioned, suggesting a possible affiliation with a larger medical group or a shared medical facility on Collier Road NW. Patient reviews offer some insight into the environment of his practice. One patient describes Dr. Mashman as having a "warm and friendly presence," which suggests a welcoming and approachable atmosphere. This positive aspect of the patient experience can contribute significantly to comfort and trust during medical consultations. However, another review details a negative experience concerning prescription management and communication, which may reflect on the efficiency of the administrative processes within the practice.

The limited reviews available online present contrasting views of Dr. Mashman's practice. One patient, who has been with Dr. Mashman for a few years, offers a positive assessment, highlighting his "warm and friendly presence." This reviewer emphasizes Dr. Mashman's attentiveness, noting that he "allows you speak, listens carefully without distractions and strives to provide the care and feedback that best suits your issue." This description aligns with a patient-centered approach where active listening and tailored care are prioritized. The reviewer concludes by stating that Dr. Mashman "sets the standard for the kind of care every physician should always provide," indicating a high level of satisfaction with his approach.

Conversely, another review presents a significantly negative experience. This patient, recently discharged from the hospital, reported a delay in receiving all their prescriptions and cited issues with Dr. Mashman's communication during their consultation. The reviewer felt that Dr. Mashman "over talked me and didn't listen well today" and pointed out an apparent error in the prescribed medications, including a missing prescription and confusion regarding previously filled medications. This feedback raises concerns about the accuracy of prescription management and the effectiveness of patient-physician communication in this instance. The reviewer's frustration is evident, particularly given the timing immediately following a hospital discharge, a period where accurate and timely medication is critical.

Given these divergent experiences, it is important for prospective patients to consider both perspectives when evaluating Dr. Mashman's practice. The positive review suggests a caring and attentive physician who values patient input. However, the negative review highlights potential issues with communication and prescription accuracy, which are crucial aspects of patient safety and care coordination. It is possible that individual experiences may vary, and these reviews represent specific instances rather than a consistent pattern.

To obtain a comprehensive understanding of the services offered by Dr. Mashman, his areas of specialization within cardiology, the typical patient experience at his clinic, and the protocols for prescription management and communication, it is strongly recommended to contact his office directly. You can reach them by phone at (404) 605-2800 or via their mobile number at +1 404-605-2800. When calling, it would be beneficial to inquire about appointment scheduling procedures, the types of cardiac conditions he manages, the diagnostic and treatment options available, and the clinic's policies regarding prescription refills and communication with patients, especially post-hospitalization. Speaking with his staff may also provide insights into the overall functioning of the practice and the support systems in place for patient care.

As a "Heart Doctor Near Me" serving the Atlanta community, Dr. Mashman's practice presents a mixed picture based on the limited online reviews. While one patient praises his warm demeanor and patient-centered approach, another reports significant issues with communication and prescription handling. Local users considering Dr. Mashman for their cardiac care should weigh these contrasting accounts and are encouraged to contact his office directly to gather more information and assess whether his practice aligns with their individual healthcare needs and expectations.

In conclusion, Walter Mashman, MD, practicing in Atlanta, offers cardiology services to the local community. While one patient review highlights his warm and attentive approach to care, another raises concerns regarding communication and prescription accuracy. Prospective patients should contact Dr. Mashman's office directly to obtain detailed information about his services, office procedures, and to determine if his practice meets their individual requirements for cardiac healthcare.

This is a real review, unlike so many in the medical world. I went to see Dr. Mashman for heart valve issues. He is experienced, professional, has a wonderful bedside manner and a wry sense of humor. He allayed my fears and gave me a path forward to keep my problems at bay. I highly recommend him. His nurse Katy is wonderful too. Just ignore the front desk staff. Nathaly, in particular, seems to have had her personality surgically removed at birth.

Best physician of any sort I've ever had. His advice always guides my decisions (even times where it's not what I wanted or expected to hear) because I trust him so much. He really listens, makes sure he's making sense to the patient, takes as much time as you need, and he has humbled me on several occasions with certain details he remembers about my life. No one wants to need a cardiologist - but if you do need one, you'd be lucky to be under his care.
