One reviewer describes their experience at UNC Hospitals as stepping into "another world" due to the exceptional people and atmosphere. They specifically praise the welcoming and nonjudgmental nature of the staff. This speaks to a patient-centered environment where individuals feel comfortable and respected, which is particularly important when dealing with health concerns. The reviewer's long-standing connection with UNC Hospitals, from childhood visits for stomach issues to more recent experiences with family, underscores the hospital's enduring presence and trusted role within the community. The emphatic "everybody know UNC is the best five stars" serves as a powerful endorsement of the overall quality of care provided.

Another patient shares a deeply personal and impactful experience, emphasizing that the "best doctors" at UNC Hospitals "really saved my life." This powerful statement highlights the critical and potentially life-saving interventions provided by the medical professionals within the institution. The reviewer also notes the cleanliness of the hospital and the caring nature of the people, reinforcing the positive aspects of the environment mentioned by the first reviewer. While expressing a personal preference to not encounter known individuals as nurses or doctors due to potential professional boundaries, the overwhelming sentiment is one of gratitude for the life-saving care received.

The services offered at UNC Hospitals are extensive, covering virtually all aspects of medical care, including a comprehensive array of cardiology services. As a major academic medical center, UNC Hospitals is at the forefront of medical research and innovation, ensuring that patients have access to the latest diagnostic and treatment options for a wide range of heart conditions. UNC Hospitals also provides a full spectrum of interventional cardiology services. This includes cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with angioplasty and stenting, as well as procedures for structural heart disease such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and mitral valve repair.
