UCLA Health Calabasas Imaging & Interventional Center Introduce

For individuals in Calabasas, California, seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" who may require cardiac imaging or interventional cardiology services, the UCLA Health Calabasas Imaging & Interventional Center, located at 26585 Agoura Rd #210, Calabasas, CA 91302, USA, is a facility that may be relevant. As part of the renowned UCLA Health system, this center aims to provide advanced diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures. Understanding the environment, potential services, and recent patient experiences can assist local users in making informed decisions about their cardiac care journey.

The UCLA Health Calabasas Imaging & Interventional Center is situated within a medical office building, as indicated by the suite number in the address. Based on the limited information available online, including one patient's positive comment about the staff being professional and personable, it can be inferred that the center strives to maintain a welcoming and efficient environment for patients undergoing imaging procedures. However, another review describes a concerning and painful MRI experience, suggesting that individual experiences with the facility and its procedures can vary significantly. The center likely houses advanced imaging equipment, such as MRI machines, and potentially facilities for interventional cardiology procedures, depending on the scope of services offered at this specific location within the UCLA Health network. Cleanliness and organization are typically expected in medical imaging centers to ensure patient safety and the accuracy of diagnostic tests.

As an "Imaging & Interventional Center" within the UCLA Health system, this facility likely offers a range of services that could be relevant for individuals seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" who requires diagnostic imaging or interventional cardiology. These services may include:

  • Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): A non-invasive imaging technique that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to create detailed pictures of the heart's structure and function. This can be crucial for diagnosing various heart conditions.
  • Other Cardiovascular Imaging: Depending on the specific equipment and expertise at this location, other imaging modalities such as cardiac CT scans or ultrasound (echocardiography) might also be available.
  • Interventional Cardiology Procedures: While the name includes "Interventional Center," the extent of interventional procedures performed at this specific Calabasas location is not detailed in the provided information. Interventional cardiology typically involves minimally invasive procedures using catheters to diagnose and treat heart conditions, such as angioplasty and stenting. It is possible that this center focuses primarily on the diagnostic imaging aspects, with interventional procedures being performed at other UCLA Health facilities.
  • Diagnostic Imaging for Other Conditions: Given the broader name of the center, it likely provides imaging services beyond just cardiac, such as MRI for various parts of the body, as indicated by the hamstring injury MRI mentioned in one review.
  • Radiology Services: Interpretation of imaging scans by radiologists to provide diagnostic reports to referring physicians, including cardiologists.

It is important for local users seeking cardiac-specific imaging or interventional services to confirm the exact scope of services offered at the UCLA Health Calabasas Imaging & Interventional Center by contacting them directly or consulting with their referring cardiologist within the UCLA Health network.

The provided reviews offer a mixed perspective on patient experiences at this center. One review details a severely negative experience during an MRI scan, with the patient reporting intense physical pain, breathing difficulties, and near-fainting upon completion. This raises significant concerns about the specific MRI procedure or the care provided to this individual at this location. The patient explicitly advises others to "Please do not go here" and recommends the UCLA Health Santa Clarita location based on their prior positive experiences.

Conversely, another reviewer who had a late-night MRI for a hamstring injury reported a positive experience, highlighting the professionalism and personability of the staff, the friendliness of the doctor, clear explanations, and a smooth procedure. This suggests that experiences can vary, potentially depending on the specific procedure, the staff encountered, or other individual factors.

The stark contrast between these two reviews underscores the importance of considering multiple perspectives when evaluating a healthcare facility. While one patient had a severely adverse reaction, another found the care to be excellent. It is also worth noting that one review specifically mentions the MRI experience, so the feedback might be most directly applicable to those considering MRI scans at this location.

Given the limited information and the conflicting nature of the reviews, it is challenging to definitively highlight specific positive or negative features of this center for cardiac patients without further clarification on the services offered and more comprehensive feedback. The affiliation with UCLA Health generally implies a commitment to quality and advanced medical care, but the local experience at the Calabasas facility appears to have been problematic for at least one patient undergoing an MRI.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for the UCLA Health Calabasas Imaging & Interventional Center in the provided text. It is common for healthcare facilities within larger networks like UCLA Health to have marketing and outreach efforts at a broader system level. For information on any specific promotions, new patient programs, or services relevant to cardiac patients at this Calabasas location, it is recommended to contact the center directly at (818) 878-0028 or +1 818-878-0028 or to inquire through their referring UCLA Health cardiologist.

In conclusion, for individuals in Calabasas, CA, seeking cardiac imaging or interventional services and considering the UCLA Health Calabasas Imaging & Interventional Center as their "Heart Doctor Near Me" for these specific needs, it is advisable to approach with caution and gather more information. While the facility is part of a reputable healthcare system, the conflicting patient reviews, particularly the severely negative MRI experience, warrant careful consideration. Local users should verify the specific cardiac imaging and interventional services offered at this location and potentially seek additional feedback or consult with their cardiologist within the UCLA Health network to make an informed decision about where to receive their cardiac care.

I was sent here for an MRI on a hamstring injury. Despite the late hour (9:15 pm) of my appointment, all the staff was professional and personable. The doctor was friendly and explained everything. The MRI went down without a hitch. Great job, would MRI here again!

I can't say enough good things about the UCLA Health Calabasas Imaging & Interventional Center. The staff, from the front desk to the outpatient nurses, as well as Dr. Zachary M. Haber, who performed my bone marrow biopsy, were amazing on every level. The care and level of expertise I received were on par with what I’ve experienced at UCLA in the city. I highly recommend them, especially Dr. Haber. A special thank you for the country music during the procedure!
