My 12yr old son with PANS/PANDAS was recently admitted to pediatric ER and spent 48 hours at SSH awaiting a pediatric psych bed. The nursing staff and doctors were amazing. Their care and kindness really made such a difference in helping to navigate a difficult time. I felt totally comfortable and appreciative of the great and attention my child received there. We have never had a good experience with South Shore Hospital and refuse to be seen there for anything. My son’s experiences were fair at best too just plain awful. His discharge planning was non-existent. He was told to be off his feet at all times but refused ambulance services home as well as crutches to get up the stairs by the hospitalist. How was he supposed to get from the driveway, to the stairs, to inside the home? Magic carpet, crawl? The hospitalist was a supreme jerk refusing to assist with any of this. The bed linens were not changed for days until repeated requests were made. Requests for assistance from a patient advocate were ignored. No arrangements for visiting nurses were made prior to discharge delaying service delivery for a week+. Never, ever again.

South shore hospital- Weymouth . I had a nuclear heart stress test yesterday. The girls were very professional and very kind. They explained everything to me and made me feel at ease! I used the free valet parking. The young man, who was extremely busy did an excellent job. He was very pleasant and took good care of my car even though it was a freezing cold very windy day. Good job!🤗
