Richard & Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital Introduce

For individuals in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, seeking focused and specialized cardiac care, the Richard & Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital stands as a dedicated institution within the "Heart Doctor Near Me" platform category. Located at 1000 E Mountain Blvd, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711, USA, this hospital is specifically geared towards addressing various heart health concerns for the local community.

The Richard & Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital can be contacted at (570) 808-7300 or via their mobile phone at +1 570-808-7300. These contact details provide a direct line for local users to inquire about the hospital's services, appointment procedures, and any specific cardiac programs they may offer. As a heart-focused hospital, its primary aim is to provide comprehensive and specialized care for patients with cardiovascular conditions in the Wilkes-Barre region.

The provided customer reviews offer a glimpse into the patient experience at the Richard & Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital. One patient, who appears to be a regular visitor for cardiac evaluations, expresses overall satisfaction with the medical care received. They specifically highlight positive experiences during a stress test and a nuclear stress test, commending the staff for being "amazing," ensuring the patient's well-being, and keeping them informed throughout the procedures. This feedback underscores a patient-focused approach during diagnostic testing, which is a crucial aspect of cardiac care. The patient felt well-cared for and informed, suggesting a commitment to clear communication and patient comfort by the doctors, technicians, and nurses.

However, this same reviewer points out a significant area for potential improvement: the turnaround time for receiving test results and scheduling follow-up appointments. They mention a week-long wait for nuclear stress test results and a subsequent two-week wait for a cardiac catheterization appointment. While acknowledging the exceptional quality of the medical staff, this delay in administrative processes could be a point of concern for patients, especially those anxious about their heart health or requiring timely interventions. For individuals utilizing the "Heart Doctor Near Me" platform, the efficiency of the diagnostic and treatment pathways is often a key consideration.

The second review presents a contrasting and concerning experience. It describes a situation where a patient with final-stage vascular dementia, who was totally immobile and needed a follow-up appointment after a hospital visit, was refused to be seen due to arriving 12 minutes late because of traffic. The reviewer expresses disappointment at the lack of consideration for the patient's condition and the circumstances leading to the slight tardiness. The reported two-month wait for a rescheduled appointment further exacerbates the negative experience. This review raises questions about the hospital's flexibility and patient-centeredness in handling unforeseen delays, particularly for patients with significant health challenges. For local users seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" for vulnerable individuals, this account may raise concerns about appointment policies and the level of accommodation provided.

Despite the mixed feedback, the Richard & Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital, being a dedicated cardiac facility, likely offers a comprehensive range of services focused on diagnosing, treating, and managing various heart conditions. These services typically include:

  • Cardiac consultations and evaluations with specialized cardiologists.
  • A variety of diagnostic testing, as mentioned in the reviews, such as stress tests and nuclear stress tests.
  • Potentially more advanced imaging and diagnostic procedures.
  • Interventional cardiology services, which may include procedures like cardiac catheterization (also mentioned in the reviews), angioplasty, and stenting.
  • Medical management of common heart conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and hypertension.
  • Cardiac rehabilitation programs to support recovery and improve heart health.
  • Potentially electrophysiology services for the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders.
  • Depending on the hospital's capabilities, they may also offer cardiac surgery.

As a specialized heart hospital, the environment is likely designed to be conducive to cardiac care, with dedicated units for testing, procedures, and recovery. The focus on cardiac health may translate to a specialized and knowledgeable staff, as highlighted in the positive review regarding the doctors, technicians, and nurses. The availability of advanced cardiac testing, such as nuclear stress tests and cardiac catheterization, indicates a certain level of technological and medical capability within the institution.

No specific promotional information is included in the provided reviews. However, the very existence of a dedicated heart hospital within the local area can be seen as a significant feature and benefit for residents seeking specialized cardiac care. The focus on heart health likely means that resources and expertise are concentrated in this critical area of medicine.

In conclusion, the Richard & Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, PA, appears to be a dedicated facility for cardiac care, offering a range of diagnostic and treatment services. A patient review highlights the positive and caring nature of the medical staff and the thoroughness of cardiac testing procedures. However, the same review points out potential issues with the timeliness of receiving results and scheduling appointments. Another review raises concerns about appointment flexibility and patient consideration in specific circumstances. For local users seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," the Richard & Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital offers specialized cardiac care, but prospective patients may want to inquire about typical wait times for results and appointments and understand the hospital's policies regarding appointment delays.

Had an appointment for my mother who is in the final stages of vascular dementia, she’s totally immobile and needed a follow up after a hospital visit. We arrived 12 minutes because we got stuck 81 traffic and they refused to see her. They said we needed to reschedule and it takes two month give or take for a new appointment. No consideration for her condition, the fact that I had to take off work and we were slightly late due to circumstances out of our control.

5 handicap parking spots. Forced to park on the other side of the hospital and a PAR yells at me for asking for a shuttle at the cancer center. I can stand up for 2 minutes after I've had to walk. Nice way to treat people. Then another PAR gets made because there was no one at the downstairs check in mad no way I was walking all the way over to the far desk to have to walk back to go upstairs. People clog the circle so the shuttle can't come back. No wonder no one cares about their job anymore.
