Rehab First - Montgomery Introduce
For local users in Montgomery, Alabama, seeking comprehensive rehabilitation services, Rehab First - Montgomery, located at 520 S Hull St, Montgomery, AL 36104, USA, offers a range of care. While this platform primarily focuses on "Heart Doctor Near Me," it's important to acknowledge that cardiac rehabilitation is a crucial aspect of recovery for many heart patients. Rehab First may provide services that complement the care received from a cardiologist. You can contact Rehab First - Montgomery directly at (877) 707-2280 or +1 877-707-2280 to inquire about their specific programs and how they might assist individuals with cardiac recovery or other rehabilitation needs.
Based on the available reviews, the environment at Rehab First - Montgomery appears to be one where many patients and their families have experienced attentive and organized care. One reviewer who spent extensive time at the facility over 1.5 months while their mother was a patient, praised the "excellent care" provided by a wide range of staff, including nurses, nurses aides, therapists, doctors, the business office, administrators, and the reception staff. They specifically noted the "good bedside manner" displayed by nurses and doctors. This suggests a generally positive and caring atmosphere within the facility.
Another review echoed this sentiment, highlighting the "very good" supervision from top to bottom and the seemingly "very organized" care. The staff was described as "very attentive and respectful" of the patient. Furthermore, requests were reportedly addressed in a "realistically prompt manner," and questions were answered "respectfully and professionally." This paints a picture of a facility that values patient well-being and clear communication with families.
Several individuals were specifically commended for providing "above and beyond care," including Mary Robinson (Charge Nurse) for great personal care, JoAnne Kelley (CNA) for attentive and motherly care, Jane Sinclair (PT) and Josh Holmes (OT) for tender and first-rate therapy, and Lucretia Thompson (Floor Administrator) for her helpfulness with information, insurance appeals, and discharge planning. This detailed positive feedback underscores the dedication and expertise of various members of the Rehab First team.
The services offered at Rehab First - Montgomery, based on the positive reviews, include skilled nursing care, physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), and administrative support for navigating insurance and discharge planning, including connecting patients with home health aide companies. The mention of therapists suggests a focus on rehabilitation to help patients regain function and independence. While not explicitly a "Heart Doctor Near Me," for individuals recovering from cardiac events, the physical and occupational therapy offered here could be integral to their rehabilitation journey, often prescribed in conjunction with a cardiologist's care plan.
However, it's crucial to present a balanced view. One review offers a starkly contrasting experience, alleging a "lack of supervision" and reporting that the patient was given pain medication they did not request, purportedly to make the night easier for the staff. This reviewer also claimed their mother was left alone without water and without attention to her comfort, and that rehab schedules lacked consideration for the patient. This negative feedback raises serious concerns about patient safety and the quality of care for some individuals. The reviewer concluded by stating that, unfortunately, this experience was not necessarily worse than other facilities in Montgomery, which is a concerning observation about the local care landscape.
Considering the mixed reviews, potential features of Rehab First - Montgomery include a generally caring and organized staff, with specific individuals noted for exceptional care in nursing, therapy, and administration. However, there is also a significant concern raised about supervision, medication administration, and patient comfort for at least one individual. There is no promotional information provided in these reviews.
For local users seeking healthcare services that might be relevant in conjunction with a "Heart Doctor Near Me," Rehab First - Montgomery offers rehabilitation therapies and skilled nursing. However, prospective patients and their families should carefully consider all available feedback, both positive and negative, when making decisions about post-acute care. It may be beneficial to contact the facility directly to discuss their specific needs and to understand their current practices and protocols.

Lack of supervision. Just found out that they were giving my Mom pain meds that she didn’t request. Makes the night easy for them if they drug the patients. She is left alone with no water without any attention to her comfort. Rehab schedules are Willy Nilly with no consideration for the patient. Unfortunately this place is no worse than other facilities in Montgomery. It is a shame the bar is set so low
Awful for the patients bcoz the staff is rude to sick and elderly patients. Inexperienced staff, inept, non professional! Do not allow your loved ones to this dungeon!!! They may die here!!!
Personnel have a few bad apples. Most were good just a few that need bedside training techniques.
