OhioHealth New Albany Medical Campus Introduce
For individuals in the Columbus, Ohio area searching within the platform category "Heart Doctor Near Me," the OhioHealth New Albany Medical Campus, located at 5150 E Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus, OH 43081, USA, presents itself as a potential healthcare destination. As part of the larger OhioHealth network, this medical campus aims to provide a range of healthcare services to the local community. While the provided information does not explicitly detail the cardiac services offered at this specific campus, understanding the environment and overall patient experience can be valuable when considering your healthcare options.
Based on a patient review, the OhioHealth New Albany Medical Campus appears to prioritize patient assistance upon arrival, noting the presence of a greeter at the front entrance to aid with the check-in process, which is reportedly conducted via kiosk. This suggests a modern approach to patient registration and an effort to provide initial guidance. However, another patient's experience highlights a potential area for improvement regarding the attentiveness of medical staff during procedures. This individual described a rushed appointment due to being "squeezed in STAT" following a cancer diagnosis and recounted an incident where a CT contrast injection was not administered with sufficient care, leading to discomfort and swelling. This feedback underscores the importance of thorough and careful execution of medical procedures, even under time constraints.
Another patient review sheds light on the appointment waiting times and the duration of interaction with the physician. This individual with a scheduled morning appointment reported a relatively short initial wait to see a nurse for vitals, followed by a longer wait for a quick test administered by the nurse. Subsequently, there was a further delay of over 30 minutes before seeing the doctor, who then spent approximately five minutes with the patient. The reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with the significant waiting time compared to the brief consultation with the doctor, especially as they felt the doctor "did nothing for me." This experience suggests that while the initial check-in might be efficient, subsequent waiting times and the perceived length of the physician consultation could be areas of concern for some patients. The lack of an apology for the extended wait also contributed to this patient's negative experience.
Considering the platform category "Heart Doctor Near Me," it is crucial to determine the specific cardiac services available at the OhioHealth New Albany Medical Campus. While the reviews do not directly mention cardiology or heart-related treatments, a comprehensive medical campus within a large healthcare network like OhioHealth often includes various specialties. Potential cardiac services that might be offered could include general cardiology consultations, diagnostic testing such as ECGs and echocardiograms, and management of common heart conditions. However, without explicit information, it is essential to verify the availability of these services by contacting the campus directly.
Features of the OhioHealth New Albany Medical Campus, based on the limited information, seem to include a modern check-in process with the assistance of a greeter. However, the reported issues with rushed procedures and long waiting times followed by brief physician interaction suggest potential inconsistencies in patient care and time management. As part of the OhioHealth network, the campus likely benefits from established protocols and access to a broader system of medical expertise and resources. However, the individual experiences shared in the reviews highlight the importance of consistent and attentive patient care at the local campus level.
Currently, there is no promotional information available in the provided text for the OhioHealth New Albany Medical Campus. Medical campuses may occasionally offer specific programs or initiatives, but these are not mentioned in the given reviews. Amazing as always. I am always impressed with the entirety of the care, safety, and staff. They listen to everything! And they teach me as well as let me help with my own medical issues. Thank you to this ENTIRE GROUP you guys are amazing!
This visit had a CT scan. I told the tech I had small veins when they put in IV line. Unfortunately they blew out a vein causing me discomfort, swelling & bruising. Luckily they got the required images ok. The staff was apologetic & had a nurse check me out & explain but I left with an ice pack & instructions to keep arm elevated until swelling goes down. Better luck next time.
The communication from this office is lack luster at best. They also don’t communicate with one another so they tend to blame the patient or the patient’s advocate for their own confusion. Their staff is not approachable in the slightest and they make you feel like a bother when you try to advocate for your family member who can’t do so on their own. The only positive interactions I had were with the staff who check you in when you enter the lobby.
