Northern Light Health EMMC Northeast Cardiology Associates Introduce

Welcome to Northern Light Health EMMC Northeast Cardiology Associates, located at 1 Northeast Dr in Bangor, Maine. As a significant provider listed under the "Heart Doctor Near Me" platform, we are dedicated to offering a comprehensive range of cardiovascular services to the Bangor community and surrounding areas. Being part of the Northern Light Health network and specifically associated with EMMC (Eastern Maine Medical Center), our facility likely provides a professional and well-equipped environment for consultations, diagnostic procedures, and the management of various heart conditions.

Based on the available patient reviews, we can gather insights into the services and the patient experience at this location. One patient who has been dealing with Afib (atrial fibrillation) for a couple of years mentions undergoing three procedures, with the last two being successful. This suggests that Northern Light Health EMMC Northeast Cardiology Associates offers treatments for heart rhythm disorders like Afib, potentially including procedures such as ablations or cardioversions. The patient specifically highlights Dr. Sullivan, noting that he was the only one who took the time to review their history before the consultation. This suggests a focus on personalized care by some of the physicians.

However, the same patient also shared concerns regarding follow-up care, mentioning a lack of awareness of their history by a nurse during a 30-day follow-up and not hearing about a scheduled 90-day follow-up five months post-procedure. This indicates that while some aspects of care, like the initial consultation with Dr. Sullivan, may be thorough, there might be inconsistencies in follow-up communication and coordination.

In contrast, another patient expressed overwhelmingly positive feedback, specifically mentioning "Dr. Earl and the entire staff." This reviewer described them as "amazing, compassionate people" and credited Dr. Earl with potentially saving their life following a heart attack and a CTO-PCI (Chronic Total Occlusion Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) procedure. Their experience of every visit since as "nothing but caring and concern" and their progression toward a full recovery highlights the positive and supportive care provided by Dr. Earl and his team. This suggests that the facility has skilled and compassionate professionals who provide excellent care in certain situations.

Considering these reviews, the services offered at Northern Light Health EMMC Northeast Cardiology Associates likely include:

  • Treatment for Arrhythmias: As indicated by the Afib patient's experience, they offer procedures for heart rhythm disorders.
  • Interventional Cardiology: The mention of a CTO-PCI procedure by Dr. Earl suggests expertise in complex coronary interventions.
  • General Cardiology Care: Encompassing diagnosis, treatment, and management of various heart conditions, including those following a heart attack.
  • Consultations and Follow-up Care: While experiences vary, both initial consultations and follow-up appointments are part of their service.

As part of Northern Light Health and located at EMMC, patients can likely expect a facility that is equipped with modern technology for cardiac diagnostics and procedures. The environment would typically include consultation rooms, examination areas, and potentially cardiac catheterization labs or electrophysiology labs depending on the specific procedures performed on-site.

The feature of having specialists like Dr. Sullivan, who prioritizes reviewing patient history, and Dr. Earl, who is described as life-saving and compassionate, suggests a team with diverse strengths and a commitment to patient care, albeit with potential inconsistencies in administrative follow-up.

Dr. Earl and the entire staff at Northern Light Cardiology are amazing, compassionate people. If not for Dr. Earl I well may not be here to write this review today. Every visit since my initial heart attack and CTO-PCI procedure has been nothing but caring and concern for my health and progression toward a full recovery. I have nothing but praise for this facility. Five stars is simply not enough.

Not happy at all with the service provided to me during my last visit. A Dr there seemed more concerned on himself an what he had to say, than taking my information into consideration. Spent a total of 7 mins with me on a issue that has no ans for the last 4 years. I thought I'd receive top notch care as all other Northern Light Hospitals an affiliates give. Only reason I give a low star rating is the Dr. Nurses are great as well as receptionists.
