This involves a thorough review of medical history, physical examination, and discussion of diagnostic and treatment options.
- Fetal Cardiology Consultations: Specialized consultations for expectant mothers whose unborn babies have been diagnosed with or are at risk for congenital heart defects. This includes detailed counseling, prenatal diagnosis using fetal echocardiography, and planning for postnatal care.
- Fetal Echocardiography: A specialized ultrasound technique used to examine the fetal heart in utero, allowing for the early detection and diagnosis of congenital heart defects, often between 18 and 24 weeks of gestation.
- Pediatric Echocardiography: Ultrasound imaging of the heart in infants, children, and adolescents to assess heart structure, function, and blood flow.
- Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG): Recording the electrical activity of the heart to diagnose arrhythmias and other cardiac conditions in children.
- Holter and Event Monitoring: Continuous or intermittent recording of a child's heart rhythm to detect and evaluate palpitations, dizziness, or fainting spells.
- Exercise Stress Testing: Assessing a child's heart function during physical activity, often used for older children and adolescents with certain heart conditions or symptoms.
- Management of Congenital Heart Defects: Providing medical management for a wide range of heart defects present at birth, coordinating care with cardiac surgeons and other specialists as needed.
- Management of Acquired Heart Diseases: Treating heart conditions that develop after birth, such as Kawasaki disease, myocarditis, and rheumatic fever.
- Arrhythmia Management in Children: Diagnosing and managing heart rhythm disorders in infants and children, which may involve medications or referral for specialized electrophysiology studies and interventions.
- Pre-operative Cardiac Evaluations: Assessing the cardiac health of children prior to surgery for both cardiac and non-cardiac conditions.
- Long-term Follow-up Care: Providing ongoing care for children with heart conditions to monitor their progress, manage any complications, and ensure optimal long-term health.
- Family Counseling and Education: Offering support and education to families about their child's heart condition, treatment plan, and long-term outlook.
A key feature of Dr. Chanana's practice is his dual specialization in both pediatric and fetal cardiology. This unique expertise allows him to provide continuous care from the prenatal period through childhood, offering families a consistent and knowledgeable medical resource for their child's cardiac needs. His ability to diagnose heart conditions in unborn babies and plan for their care after birth is particularly valuable for families facing these complex challenges.
The positive customer review highlights the welcoming nature of the front office staff (in contrast to the negative review), the excellent explanations provided by the staff, and the patient and informative approach of the ultrasound technician. This suggests that Dr. Chanana's team, beyond the initial reception experience, is dedicated to providing a positive and supportive environment for young patients and their families, ensuring they understand each step of the diagnostic process.

The rating is soley based on the receptionist! She is extremly rude. If you are going to have someone be the face/person who operates the phone then make sure they have proper ettiquette & they are respectful, especially since this is a place that works with kids. Considering going somewhere else, which is a shame because I didn't even give Dr. Chanana a chance and I was referred here.
Dr. Chanana did a wonder job with my son. He was extremely nervous coming today. Front office was very welcoming when walking in the door. The staff did an excellent job explaining everything step-by-step when he had questions. When the lady came in to do the ultrasound, she was patient and answered every question he had about the machines. Thank you guys for taking such good care of my son during this appointment. Highly recommend this office.
My daughter absolutely loves coming to see Dr Chananà. He's the only doctor that my kids don't cry or pitch a fit when they have to see him. Staff is very nice as well whole office stays clean don't think I seen any dirt the whole visit!!!!!!
