Nevada Heart and Vascular Center Introduce
When searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me" who also specializes in vascular care, Nevada Heart and Vascular Center, located at 6525 N Buffalo Dr Suite #130, Las Vegas, NV 89131, USA, offers a comprehensive approach to cardiovascular health. Situated in Las Vegas, Nevada, this center aims to provide a range of services addressing both cardiac and vascular conditions. For local users seeking integrated care for their heart and blood vessel health, Nevada Heart and Vascular Center represents a potential option.
While specific details about the interior environment of Nevada Heart and Vascular Center are not available online, medical clinics of this nature typically strive to create a welcoming and professional atmosphere for patients. One positive patient review mentions a "great" staff, noting that the receptionist and the nurse were "really nice." This suggests a patient-friendly initial point of contact and a caring approach from the clinical staff during preliminary assessments like EKGs. Patients can likely expect standard medical examination rooms equipped for consultations and non-invasive diagnostic procedures. As a center focusing on both heart and vascular health, the facility may also house equipment for specialized vascular testing.
Nevada Heart and Vascular Center appears to offer services in both cardiology and vascular medicine. Cardiology focuses on the heart and its diseases, while vascular medicine deals with the blood vessels outside of the heart. This integrated approach can be beneficial for patients who have conditions affecting both their heart and circulatory system. Based on the center's name and general practices of similar facilities, the services likely include:
- Comprehensive cardiac evaluations: Including physical examinations, review of medical history, and risk factor assessment for heart disease.
- Non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing: Such as electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG), echocardiograms, stress tests (exercise and pharmacological), and Holter and event monitoring to assess heart function and rhythm.
- Medical management of common cardiac conditions: Including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias.
- Vascular evaluations: Assessing the health of arteries and veins, potentially including physical examinations and review of risk factors for vascular disease.
- Non-invasive vascular diagnostic testing: Such as Doppler ultrasound to assess blood flow in arteries and veins.
- Medical management of vascular conditions: Including peripheral artery disease, venous insufficiency, and other circulatory disorders.
- Potential for interventional procedures: Depending on the specialists on staff, the center may offer minimally invasive procedures for both cardiac (e.g., angioplasty, stenting) and vascular (e.g., angioplasty, stenting, ablation) conditions.
- Preventive cardiology and vascular care: Counseling on lifestyle modifications, risk factor management, and strategies to prevent the development or progression of cardiovascular diseases.
One positive review specifically mentions "Dr. Khan" as being "patient with all my questions" and explaining everything thoroughly. This highlights a physician within the center who takes the time to communicate effectively with patients and ensure their understanding of their health conditions and treatment plans. This patient-centered communication is a crucial aspect of quality medical care.
However, it is important to consider the negative feedback also present in the reviews. One reviewer recounts a significant issue with obtaining a pre-operation clearance for an urgent surgery for their father-in-law. Despite multiple calls and assurances of a callback from the scheduling department, no one contacted them, leading to a critical delay with only four days until the surgery. The reviewer's inability to reach anyone and the eventual phone system shutdown at closing time resulted in a strong negative assessment of the patient care as "the worse example." This serious complaint raises concerns about the center's administrative processes, communication, and responsiveness, particularly in time-sensitive situations.
Given the conflicting reviews, local users considering Nevada Heart and Vascular Center as their "Heart Doctor Near Me" should be aware of both the positive aspects highlighted by one patient and the significant concerns raised by another. The positive review suggests a friendly and helpful staff, as well as a physician who is communicative and thorough. However, the negative review points to potentially severe issues with scheduling, communication, and the handling of urgent medical needs.
Currently, no specific promotional information or special offers are available based on the provided data. Individuals interested in the services of Nevada Heart and Vascular Center may wish to contact them directly at (702) 240-6482 (also listed as a mobile phone number: +1 702-240-6482) to inquire about the specific services offered, the qualifications of their physicians, their scheduling procedures, and their protocols for urgent medical requests. It would also be prudent to inquire about their procedures for addressing patient concerns and ensuring effective communication.
In conclusion, Nevada Heart and Vascular Center, located at 6525 N Buffalo Dr Suite #130, Las Vegas, NV 89131, offers integrated cardiac and vascular care. While one patient reported a positive experience with the staff and a thorough physician, another detailed a significant and concerning issue with obtaining urgent pre-operative clearance due to a lack of communication and responsiveness. Local users seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" should consider both of these perspectives when evaluating this center. Contacting them directly at (702) 240-6482 to gather more information about their services, procedures, and patient care protocols is recommended to make an informed decision about their suitability for your cardiovascular health needs.
When choosing a healthcare provider, especially for critical areas like heart and vascular health, it is essential to weigh all available information. The contrasting patient experiences at Nevada Heart and Vascular Center underscore the importance of direct communication with the center to understand their current practices and ensure they align with your healthcare expectations and needs. Asking specific questions about their scheduling procedures, communication protocols, and how they handle urgent requests will be crucial in determining if this center is the right choice for your cardiovascular care.

Had my first visit the other day and the staff was great! Receptionist and the nurse that took me back for an EKG were both really nice. Dr. Khan was patient with all my questions and explained everything thoroughly. Really appreciated all their help!
My FIL needs to get a pre-operation clearance for an urgent Surgery. I have called and left several messages each day. Today I was told a person from the scheduling department would call since it is 4 days till surgery. NO ONE CALLED!!!!! I called at 4:30 and was on hold until 5 when their phones turned off. This is the worse example of patient care.

I wish I could give a higher rating because actually the doctors are good IF you can actually get past the nightmare reception service this place provides. Be prepared to be put on hold, rerouted to the wrong departments several times, only to either get disconnected or leave a voice-mail that will never be returned. I can't believe how incompetent this place is given how your heart is so vitally important.
