Neil Goldberg, DO Introduce
For our users in Taiwan seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," our platform is dedicated to providing you with accurate and up-to-date information to guide your healthcare decisions. While our primary focus is on connecting you with qualified local medical professionals within Taiwan, we also recognize that some individuals may explore options for specialized medical treatment internationally. In this context, we are providing an introduction to Neil Goldberg, DO, a former cardiologist located in Scottsdale, Arizona, in the United States, based on the information available to us. It is crucial to note, however, that the provided reviews indicate Dr. Goldberg was retiring as of the beginning of 2023. Therefore, he is likely no longer practicing.
Neil Goldberg, DO, was located at 10200 N 92nd St Suite 150, Scottsdale, AZ 85258, USA. The suite number (#150) suggests that his office was part of a larger medical building or complex in Scottsdale, Arizona. This type of setting typically offers a professional environment for patient consultations, examinations, and potentially some in-office diagnostic procedures. While specific details about the office's ambiance, waiting areas, or the medical equipment available are not provided, one could generally expect a healthcare setting that adhered to the standards prevalent in the United States.
As a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), Dr. Goldberg was a fully licensed physician in the United States, trained to diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries. DOs emphasize a holistic approach to patient care, considering the interconnectedness of the body's systems and often incorporating osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) in their practice, although it is not explicitly mentioned in the reviews whether Dr. Goldberg utilized OMT in his cardiology practice. As a cardiologist, Dr. Goldberg would have specialized in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and conditions affecting the heart and blood vessels. This typically encompassed a wide range of issues such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats), valvular heart disease, hypertension (high blood pressure), and hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol). Depending on his specific training and interests, Dr. Goldberg may have had sub-specializations within cardiology, such as interventional cardiology (performing procedures like angioplasty and stenting), electrophysiology (managing heart rhythm disorders), or echocardiography (using ultrasound to assess the heart's structure and function). However, without further specific information, we can only infer his general scope of practice as a cardiologist.
Based on the typical services provided by a cardiologist in an outpatient setting, Dr. Goldberg likely offered a range of services, including:
- Comprehensive Cardiac Evaluations: Thorough assessments of a patient's cardiovascular health, including a detailed review of their medical history, a physical examination, and an evaluation of their risk factors for heart disease.
- Electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG): A non-invasive test that records the electrical activity of the heart to detect various cardiac abnormalities.
- Echocardiography: An ultrasound imaging technique used to visualize the heart's structure, function, and blood flow, providing valuable information about valve function and heart muscle health.
- Stress Testing: Monitoring the heart's performance during physical exertion (or with pharmacological stimulation) to identify potential problems such as ischemia (reduced blood flow to the heart muscle).
- Holter and Event Monitoring: Continuous or intermittent recording of the heart's electrical activity over extended periods to detect and diagnose irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias).
- Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring: Measuring blood pressure at regular intervals over a 24-hour period to provide a more accurate assessment of blood pressure control outside of a clinical setting.
- Management of Cardiovascular Conditions: Developing and implementing treatment plans for a wide range of heart conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular heart disease, often involving lifestyle modifications, medications, and referrals for more invasive procedures when necessary.
- Preventive Cardiology: Providing counseling and strategies to reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular disease, including managing cholesterol levels, blood pressure, and diabetes, as well as promoting healthy lifestyle choices such as diet and exercise.
- Consultations and Second Opinions: Offering expert opinions on complex cardiac cases and providing second opinions to patients seeking further clarification on their diagnosis or treatment options.

Especially for me. I just saw him for my yearly follow up and was saddened to hear from him that he will be retiring as of the beginning of 2023. I wish him a very happy retirement and enjoyment with family and friends especially his grandchildren. Going to miss him. Aloha to you, Dr Goldberg.
Dr Goldberg is a wonderful cardiologist. He is very experienced. I wouldn’t choose any other. He could be a bit more collaborative and take more time to explain why he is prescribing medication. However he doesn’t take it personally when pressed.
Doctor Goldberg is highly recommended by me. He is kind but also to the point when it comes to health. I like straight on approach to potential problems that can occur. I put my trust and confidence in him. Thanks Doctor Goldberg for all you do.
