Based on the general nature of a heart and vascular center within a larger health system like MUSC Health, the services likely offered at the Laurel St. Medical Pavilion could include:

However, it is crucial to consider the direct feedback from patients to gain a more nuanced understanding of the patient experience at this specific location.

The provided reviews offer a mixed perspective. One patient describes their experience as a "joke," expressing dissatisfaction with the providers' attentiveness, long waiting times (up to three hours past the appointment time), and difficulties in communication and medical record transfers. This feedback raises concerns about the patient-centeredness of care and the efficiency of administrative processes at this facility.

Another patient shares a more positive sentiment towards a specific doctor, Dr. Khoury, stating, "I love her." However, this positive feeling is overshadowed by concerns about long wait times and appointment cancellations. This patient, experiencing symptoms like chest heaviness, arm pain, and nausea, reported a cancellation of a 9:30 appointment the day before and was rescheduled for a later date, despite expressing the need for a heart catheterization due to a CHF diagnosis. This review highlights potential issues with scheduling and the urgency of care for patients with known heart conditions.

These reviews, while limited, suggest that while individual doctors may be liked by some patients, there are potential systemic issues related to waiting times, communication, and administrative processes, such as the transfer of medical records. For local users considering MUSC Health Heart & Vascular Laurel St. Medical Pavilion as their "Heart Doctor Near Me," it would be prudent to weigh these patient experiences alongside the potential benefits of a facility within a larger, reputable healthcare system.

I have been a patient here since 2010 and my Grandfather was a patient here for 25 years before. This used to be the best cardiology place, and care, until Providence bought and took over the facility. The very least that the staff could do, is to make sure that patients are aware of those changes and their financial responsibility before tests are run. Especially when they are the same faces that were there before the change. Providence has ruined what was once a great place. :'(

Been sitting in the waiting room for 2 hrs with chest pains. No help. What at one time was a wonderful Hospital is now so different. The. Nurses are over loaded. The stretchers wheels are dirty. The floor in examining room is dirty. I’m just not comfortable surrounded by all this dirt. Especially with the COVID-19 raging.

I had several recent appointments and procedures by Drs Foster and Gottipatti. Was treated expertly by both. Procedures were done at Providence and the set up and follow through were faultless. Have great faith in their abilities and judgements and recommend them without reservation. C Hite
