Located at 2345 Chesterfield Ave #302, Charleston, WV 25304, USA, Mountaineer Cardiology offers a range of services to address various heart conditions. You can reach their office at (681) 205-8610 or their mobile line at +1 681-205-8610.

Mountaineer Cardiology aims to serve the local community with experienced physicians and a focus on patient well-being. While specific details about the clinic's environment are not readily available online, it is typical for cardiology practices to offer a comfortable and professional setting for consultations, examinations, and non-invasive procedures. Patients can generally expect a reception area, private examination rooms, and potentially areas equipped for diagnostic testing.

The core of Mountaineer Cardiology lies in the services provided by their team of cardiologists. Based on available information, the practice is associated with Dr. James Pettit and Dr. Goad. While the exact scope of services isn't exhaustively detailed online, cardiology practices generally offer a wide array of diagnostic and treatment options for various heart conditions. These may include:

  • Consultations and Comprehensive Cardiac Evaluations: Thorough assessments of a patient's cardiovascular health, including medical history review, physical examinations, and risk factor evaluation.
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG): A standard diagnostic test that measures the electrical activity of the heart.
  • Echocardiography: An ultrasound of the heart to visualize its structure and function.
  • Stress Testing: Monitoring heart function during physical exertion to detect potential issues.
  • Holter and Event Monitoring: Extended monitoring of heart rhythm to identify intermittent abnormalities.
  • Management of Chronic Heart Conditions: Providing ongoing care for conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), heart failure, and coronary artery disease.
  • Arrhythmia Management: Diagnosis and treatment of irregular heartbeats.
  • Preventive Cardiology: Strategies to reduce the risk of developing heart disease.
  • Post-Surgical Care: Follow-up and management for patients who have undergone cardiac surgeries.

It's important to note that one online review mentioned a patient being declined as a new patient after undergoing heart surgery at another hospital. This suggests that Mountaineer Cardiology's focus might be on specific types of cardiac care or that they may have limitations on the types of post-operative care they provide directly. It is always recommended to contact the clinic directly to discuss your specific needs and whether their services align with your requirements.

On a more positive note, another review highly recommends Dr. Pettit and Dr. Goad, specifically mentioning their caring nature, clear explanations, and attentiveness to patient concerns in the context of open-heart surgery. This feedback underscores the importance of the physician-patient relationship and the value of doctors who communicate effectively and show empathy.

Features of Mountaineer Cardiology likely include a commitment to utilizing current medical knowledge and practices in the field of cardiology. Patients can generally expect a professional and confidential environment where their heart health concerns are addressed. The presence of experienced physicians like Dr. Pettit and Dr. Goad suggests a focus on accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment plans.

As for promotional information, there are no specific promotions or special offers mentioned in the provided data. However, the very existence of a local cardiology practice like Mountaineer Cardiology serves as a valuable resource for the community, providing accessible heart care without the need to travel long distances. Their presence contributes to the overall cardiovascular health of the Charleston area.

RUDE office staff! Called for an appointment, was told it would be 4-6 weeks before they could get me in. Explained that I had a referral from the ER that wanted me seen within a week. The lady told me "if it was really that serious they would have sent a cardiologist to you in the hospital" I will take my heart issues and business somewhere else.
