For individuals in the Indianapolis area seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," Dr. Mithilesh K. Das is a cardiologist affiliated with IU Health Physicians Cardiology, located at 1801 N Senate Ave Suite 4000, Indianapolis, IN 46202, USA. As part of the IU Health system, patients might expect a professional healthcare environment. However, it is important to consider all available information when making healthcare decisions.

While specific details about the environment of Suite 4000 are not provided online, IU Health facilities generally aim to offer a setting conducive to medical consultations and care. Patients typically anticipate a clean and organized space. However, it is the patient experience and the quality of care that often play a more significant role in their overall assessment of a healthcare provider.

The publicly available reviews for Dr. Mithilesh K. Das present a concerning picture regarding patient experiences. It is crucial for prospective patients to be aware of these accounts as they consider their options for cardiac care. One patient who had been seeing Dr. Das for over five years reported a significant decline in the quality of care received. This patient described an annual appointment where Dr. Das allegedly spent an extremely brief amount of time in the room, without conducting a thorough examination. This individual also detailed multiple instances of poor communication and scheduling issues related to a necessary pacemaker battery replacement. According to this review, there were four rescheduling incidents, a lack of information provided regarding pre-operative instructions, and extreme difficulty in getting the office to return phone calls, even when dealing with critical medication management as a patient on blood thinners. This patient ultimately had to contact the hospital administrator to prompt a response from the office. Following the battery replacement, the lack of follow-up appointment scheduling and the continued difficulty in communication led this patient to express strong dissatisfaction and a decision to discontinue care at this office, labeling it a "HORRIBLE HORRIBLE place."

Another patient shared a similarly negative experience, detailing issues with the level of care, communication, and the process of receiving necessary medications for a pacemaker and defibrillator infection. This review mentioned multiple canceled surgery dates and alleged that Dr. Das was often unavailable and exhibited poor communication and bedside manner during brief visits. This patient claimed that Dr. Das would only speak a few words and did not listen to their concerns. They also reported an unresolved attempt to speak with a charge nurse to address these issues, further highlighting significant concerns about patient care and communication within the practice. This individual expressed a sense of distrust in their doctors and described the patient care as "RIDICULOUS SCAREY HARD TO TRUST YOUR OWN DOCTORS ANYMORE,POOR PATIENT CARE ITS SAD."

Based on this publicly available feedback, a pattern of concerns emerges regarding the quality of patient interaction, communication, and follow-up care provided by Dr. Das's office. These reviews do not offer insights into the specific services offered by Dr. Das, but they heavily focus on the negative aspects of the patient experience, particularly concerning communication and the perceived lack of thorough and attentive care.

It is important to note that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not be representative of every patient's interaction with Dr. Das. However, the consistency and severity of the issues raised warrant careful consideration for individuals seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me." Prospective patients should weigh this information alongside any other research they conduct when making their healthcare decisions.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Dr. Mithilesh K. Das. The focus of the publicly accessible information is overwhelmingly on the negative patient experiences detailed in the reviews. Therefore, it is not possible to highlight any specific features or positive aspects based solely on the provided data.

For local users searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me," the information available regarding Dr. Mithilesh K. Das at IU Health Physicians Cardiology raises significant concerns about patient communication, follow-up, and the overall patient experience. While the affiliation with IU Health suggests a connection to a larger healthcare system, the individual experiences shared in the reviews should be carefully considered. Prospective patients are strongly encouraged to seek additional information from various sources, including the IU Health website, other online review platforms, and potentially by seeking second opinions before making a decision about their cardiac care.

Individuals considering Dr. Das are advised to contact the office at (317) 962-0500 or +1 317-962-0500 to inquire about their practices, communication protocols, and to address any concerns they may have based on the publicly available feedback. I had two heart ablations due to atrial fibrillation with another cardiologist, and continued to experience shortness of breath. Dr. Das performed a third ablation in 2017, and I’ve been good since. I recommend him without reservation.

We brought my mother(82) for a pacemaker extraction from Florida. He is an amazing surgeon and really explained everything to us before her surgery! In Florida even Mayo Clinic said her days with us were limited and they couldn’t do anything there and gave me 3 options to do her surgery Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, Indiana University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana or John Hopkins in Maryland. I am so grateful to Dr Das and all the staff there.
