Michael A Missler, DO Introduce

Are you searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me" in the St. Peters, Missouri area? This introduction focuses on Michael A Missler, DO, a cardiologist located at 10 Hospital Dr Suite 100, St Peters, MO 63376, USA. Dr. Missler can be contacted at (636) 916-7272 or via mobile phone at +1 636-916-7272. Patient feedback offers varying perspectives on Dr. Missler's practice, which should be considered when making healthcare decisions.

One patient shared a life-saving experience with Dr. Missler: "Dr Missler saved my life! Another cardiology dept told me to do a stress test in a year or so, but I knew something wasn’t right with my body. I saw Dr Missler weeks later for a second opinion, since I had already had two heart attacks previously! He suggested we go in and look based on my history! 2 days later I was transferred to Missouri Babtist for a 4way bypass. Doc is never in a rush with me and ask lots of questions! I cannot recommend Dr Missler enough!!! 💪😎" This powerful testimonial highlights Dr. Missler's proactive approach, particularly in seeking further investigation based on a patient's history and persistent concerns, even when previous medical advice suggested a more delayed approach. The fact that this led to the discovery and treatment of a condition requiring a 4-way bypass underscores his potential for astute clinical judgment. The patient also notes Dr. Missler's thoroughness during consultations, mentioning that he is "never in a rush" and "asks lots of questions," which can contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the patient's condition.

However, another patient reported a negative experience: "My experience with Dr. Missler was not a positive experience. I was hospitalized with congestive heart failure on 11/11/2022 I was released on the 17th. Dr. Missler was assigned to me during my stay and my follow up to begin further treatment was scheduled for December 11th. Just days before my appointment I received a call cancelling my appointment and moving it to the 14th of January 2023. Not pleased with this I had no choice. This kept postponing my PT. My cardiocath site started bleeding and he never called back when I inquired then his staff lied to cover up. At that point I got a new cardiologist and it took 2 months to get my records sent over. The staff kept telling me they had been sent when they had not. One of his staff members told me they have to frequently inform him of his missed appointments and responsibilities. Unprofessional and dishonest."

This review raises significant concerns regarding the administrative and follow-up aspects of Dr. Missler's practice. The cancellation and rescheduling of a follow-up appointment, the alleged lack of response to a medical concern (bleeding at the cardiocath site), and accusations of dishonesty and unprofessionalism by the staff paint a troubling picture. The difficulty in obtaining medical records further compounds the negative experience reported by this patient. The comment from a staff member about frequently reminding Dr. Missler of his responsibilities suggests potential organizational issues within the practice.

The address, 10 Hospital Dr Suite 100, indicates that Dr. Missler's office is located within a hospital setting or a medical building closely associated with a hospital in St. Peters, MO. This often implies access to various diagnostic facilities and a coordinated approach with other medical departments if needed. The environment would likely be a standard medical office suite, equipped for consultations and potentially some in-office cardiac testing.

Based on the available information, the services offered by Dr. Michael A Missler, DO, likely include:

  • General cardiology consultations.
  • Second opinions for cardiac conditions.
  • Diagnosis and management of various heart diseases, including those requiring advanced interventions like bypass surgery (as suggested by the positive review).
  • Potentially, the performance and interpretation of common cardiac tests.
  • Management of conditions like congestive heart failure (as mentioned in the negative review).

A notable feature highlighted in the positive review is Dr. Missler's willingness to listen to patients' concerns and his proactive approach to diagnosis. His thoroughness during consultations is also mentioned as a positive attribute. However, the negative review points to significant challenges in communication, follow-up, and the professionalism of the office staff, which are critical aspects of patient care.

There is no explicit promotional information in the provided text. However, the positive review could be interpreted as an endorsement of Dr. Missler's clinical acumen and patient interaction style. Conversely, the negative review serves as a strong caution regarding potential administrative and communication issues within his practice.

Dr Missler helped my grandfather as well as my mother in law through very difficult heart issues. He was friendly and professional and always ensured they were taken care of.

My husband had an appt with him the other day. He felt like he listened to his concerns and is finally on the correct medication to lower his blood pressure . I think I may start seeing him myself.
