Features and Patient Experiences:

The provided reviews offer contrasting experiences at Meritus Hagerstown Heart, highlighting different aspects of patient care:

  • Positive Experience with Technician Monique: One patient shared a "wonderful experience" specifically praising Monique, the echocardiogram technician. The review emphasizes Monique's professionalism, friendliness, and ability to make the patient feel at ease during the procedure. Her thorough explanations and caring demeanor were particularly appreciated, suggesting a high level of patient care from at least one member of the staff.
  • Negative Experience Regarding Physician Communication and Follow-Up: The second review details a less satisfactory experience. The patient noted that the nurse and echocardiogram technician were "very nice," but described the physician's demeanor as indifferent ("so/so," "didn't seem to really care," felt like "wasting his time"). Furthermore, the patient reported a lack of communication regarding test results, with a chart indicating the doctor had spoken to them when no call was received. The subsequent call from the nurse with a brief negative finding and no further guidance left the patient feeling dismissed and that their health concerns were not taken seriously. This review raises concerns about physician attentiveness and follow-up communication.

These contrasting reviews illustrate the variability in patient experiences within a medical practice. While some staff members, like the technician Monique, are commended for their excellent care, other aspects, such as physician communication and follow-up, appear to be areas for potential improvement based on the negative feedback.

I had a wonderful experience at Hagerstown Heart. Monique, the technician who performed my echocardiogram, was absolutely outstanding. She was incredibly professional, friendly, and made me feel at ease the entire time. She talked me through the entire scan, which made the experience so much more comfortable and personal. Monique truly went above and beyond—something that’s hard to find these days. Keep up the amazing work, and thank you for the excellent care!

Excellent experience! The staff is very friendly and very professional. Easy check in using the kiosk. Was seen by staff and the doctor at the time of my scheduled appointment without any delay. Dr. Lodhi sets the Gold Standard for doctors. He takes his time (almost like visiting a favorite uncle), thorough with his explanations and easy to understand using terminology that most of us can grasp.

The doc ordered a stress test. Says I have to run on a treadmill. I'm a wheelchair user, and I can't walk more than 50 feet before passing out. He didn't read my medical history and gave outdated advice. No help at all for severe chest pain. He was more concerned about my non-existent smoking habit. Somehow, my large breasts are causing heart pain and an abnormal EKG. A quick Google search provided numerous articles stating that breast tissue cannot cause abnormal EKG.
