Mark Richards, MD Introduce
If you're seeking a 'Heart Doctor Near Me' in the Grapevine, Texas area, it's essential to find a qualified and experienced cardiologist who can provide the care you need. Mark Richards, MD, is a physician located at 2020 W State Hwy 114 Ste 320, Grapevine, TX 76051, USA. His office can be contacted at (469) 800-4540, and his mobile phone number is +1 469-800-4540. Understanding a doctor's background, approach to patient care, and the overall environment of their practice can help you make an informed decision about your healthcare.
Dr. Richards' practice is situated in Grapevine, making it potentially accessible for individuals residing in Grapevine and surrounding communities. The office at 2020 W State Hwy 114 Ste 320 suggests a professional setting where patients can receive consultations and potentially follow-up care. While specific details about the clinic's environment, such as waiting areas, examination rooms, and available facilities, are not provided in the given information, it is typical for such medical offices to prioritize patient comfort and privacy.
Based on the available information, Dr. Richards' initial interaction with one patient occurred at Baylor Scott & White Grapevine following an emergency room admission. This suggests that he may have affiliations with this hospital, which could be a significant factor for patients who prefer or require hospital-based care. The patient who shared this experience highlighted several positive aspects of Dr. Richards' care, including "open communication," a "thorough explanation of the procedure(s)," and his willingness to "take time to answer questions." These qualities are crucial for building trust between a doctor and patient and ensuring the patient feels informed and involved in their care plan.
However, it is important to present a balanced view based on all available feedback. Another patient expressed a significantly negative experience, stating, "I would never recommend this doctor. Horrible bedside manner." This review contrasts sharply with the positive feedback regarding communication. The reviewer further mentioned their positive experiences with other doctors at "arrhythmia management" (presumably a clinic or practice group), specifically naming Dr. Hussain and Dr. Deville. This suggests that Dr. Richards may be associated with this group. The strong negative sentiment expressed by this patient indicates a potential concern regarding his interpersonal skills and how he interacts with patients.
The term "bedside manner" typically refers to a doctor's approach to a patient, including their communication style, empathy, respect, and overall demeanor. A good bedside manner can significantly impact a patient's comfort and trust in their physician. Conversely, a poor bedside manner can lead to patient dissatisfaction and a breakdown in the doctor-patient relationship.
Given the conflicting reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive assessment of Dr. Richards' overall approach to patient care. One patient found his communication and explanations to be thorough and appreciated his willingness to answer questions, which are vital aspects of good medical practice. However, another patient reported a "horrible bedside manner," which is a serious concern. It's possible that individual patient experiences can vary based on their specific needs, expectations, and interactions with the doctor.
As this platform focuses on connecting users with 'Heart Doctors Near Me,' it's crucial for individuals to consider all available information when making their choices. In the case of Dr. Richards, the feedback suggests a potential strength in explaining medical procedures and maintaining open communication, at least in one instance. However, the strong negative comment regarding bedside manner should also be taken into consideration.
Since no specific details about the services offered by Dr. Richards are provided, we can infer that as a cardiologist, he likely deals with a range of heart-related conditions. These may include but are not limited to:
- Diagnosis and management of various heart diseases.
- Treatment of chest pain, heart failure, and high blood pressure.
- Evaluation and management of heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias), given the mention of "arrhythmia management" in one of the reviews.
- Ordering and interpreting cardiac tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests.
- Potentially performing procedures, although the specifics are not mentioned.
Similarly, no promotional information is available for Dr. Richards. Therefore, it's not possible to comment on any special offers or unique aspects of his practice from a promotional standpoint. The focus remains on the available feedback regarding his patient interactions.
For local users in Grapevine, TX, who are searching for a 'Heart Doctor Near Me,' Mark Richards, MD, represents a local option with an office at 2020 W State Hwy 114 Ste 320. While one patient reported positive experiences with his communication and thoroughness, another expressed significant dissatisfaction with his bedside manner. Potential patients may want to consider these contrasting viewpoints when making their decision. It might be beneficial to seek further information or potentially consult with other healthcare professionals to gain a more comprehensive understanding before scheduling an appointment.
In conclusion, Mark Richards, MD, is a cardiologist practicing in Grapevine, TX. He appears to have experience in explaining procedures and communicating with patients effectively, as highlighted by one review. However, another patient reported a very negative experience concerning his bedside manner. Without further information about his specific services, expertise, or the typical environment of his practice, local users should weigh the available feedback carefully as part of their decision-making process when looking for a 'Heart Doctor Near Me.'

We originally met Dr. Richards at Grapevine at Baylor Scott & White Grapevine after an emergency room admission to the hospital for my husband. What are the things we appreciated ... open communication, thorough explanation of the procedure(s), and taking time to answer questions.
I would never recommend this doctor. Horrible bedside manner. I love and have been going to arrhythmia management for years and love dr Hussain and Deville but smith I would rather drive a hour away to go to another doctor than go to him. If he is on call I will never go to that hospital
