Practicing under the umbrella of "Heart Doctor Near Me," Dr. Rosenthal is located at 55 N Lake Ave, Worcester, MA 01655, USA. The available online reviews highlight his proficiency in cardiac electrophysiology, particularly in performing cardiac ablations for conditions like atrial fibrillation (AFib), and underscore his positive patient interactions.

One highly positive review indicates that "Dr. Rosenthal was highly recommended by my regular cardiologist, and I am delighted he was. He did my cardiac ablation in Dec. 2023, and my AFib went away that day. He is very helpful, answers concerns and questions quickly, and has a great bedside manner. Very highly recommend." This testimonial speaks volumes about Dr. Rosenthal's capabilities. The fact that he was recommended by another cardiologist suggests a high level of trust and respect within the medical community. The successful outcome of the cardiac ablation, with the patient's AFib resolving on the same day, points to Dr. Rosenthal's skill and experience in this specialized procedure. Furthermore, the reviewer praises his helpfulness, promptness in addressing concerns, and excellent bedside manner, indicating a patient-focused approach that combines medical expertise with compassionate care.

Another patient shares a similarly positive experience, stating, "Dr. Rosenthal did a great job with my cardiac ablation 2/2021. My atrial fibrillation is gone, which is a life changer. He is a highly-skilled cardiologist and very personable. I am fortunate to have such a high level of care this close to home." This review further reinforces Dr. Rosenthal's expertise in performing cardiac ablations for AFib, again highlighting the life-changing positive outcomes for patients. The description of him as a "highly-skilled cardiologist" and "very personable" echoes the sentiments of the first reviewer, consistently portraying him as both an expert in his field and someone who interacts positively with his patients. The appreciation for having such high-level care locally underscores the value he brings to the Worcester community.

While specific details about the environment of Dr. Rosenthal's office at 55 N Lake Ave, Worcester, MA 01655, USA, are not explicitly mentioned in the reviews, it is reasonable to assume a professional medical setting suitable for cardiac consultations and potentially some in-office procedures or pre- and post-operative care related to cardiac ablations. Patients can likely expect a clean and comfortable environment conducive to medical discussions and examinations.

As a cardiac electrophysiologist, Dr. Rosenthal's services would primarily focus on the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias). Cardiac ablation, the procedure specifically mentioned in both reviews, is a key service in this field. Typically, the services offered by a cardiac electrophysiologist like Dr. Rosenthal would include:

  • Diagnosis of Heart Rhythm Disorders: This involves using various diagnostic tools such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), Holter monitors, event monitors, and potentially more invasive electrophysiology studies to identify the type and source of arrhythmias.
  • Cardiac Ablation Procedures: This is a specialized procedure used to treat various heart rhythm problems, including atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), and ventricular tachycardia. It involves using catheters to deliver energy (radiofrequency or cryoablation) to specific areas of the heart tissue that are causing the abnormal rhythms. The positive outcomes reported in the reviews for cardiac ablation in treating AFib highlight Dr. Rosenthal's expertise in this area.
  • Management of Arrhythmias with Medications: While ablation is a primary treatment, Dr. Rosenthal would also be involved in prescribing and managing antiarrhythmic medications to control heart rhythm disorders.
  • Implantation and Management of Cardiac Devices: This may include pacemakers for slow heart rates and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) for patients at risk of sudden cardiac arrest. While not explicitly mentioned in the reviews, this is a common service provided by electrophysiologists.
  • Consultations and Second Opinions: Given the recommendation from a regular cardiologist mentioned in one review, Dr. Rosenthal likely provides consultations and second opinions for patients with complex heart rhythm issues.
  • Follow-Up Care: After procedures like cardiac ablation or device implantation, ongoing follow-up care is essential to monitor the patient's condition and adjust treatment as needed.

The features that stand out regarding Dr. Rosenthal's practice, based on the patient reviews, are his high level of skill in performing cardiac ablations, particularly for atrial fibrillation, his excellent bedside manner, his helpfulness in answering questions and addressing concerns promptly, and his overall personable approach. The strong recommendations from both a referring cardiologist and satisfied patients underscore his reputation as a highly competent and patient-focused specialist in cardiac electrophysiology.

I went into UMASS to have a cardio version done. Was going to be discharged until surgery date because In and out of sinus rhythm. Never meet Dr. Rosenthal until that day. He personally told me “why not do the surgery today” “you will feel better” “I will do it”. I immediately like that guy. He made quick and fast decision. It was Thanksgiving Eve. He made my Thanksgiving a little better. Mahalo
