Khashayar Hematpour, MD Introduce

For individuals in the Houston, Texas area seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," it is essential to carefully consider all available information when making healthcare decisions. This overview presents an objective summary based on recent online reviews regarding the services provided by Khashayar Hematpour, MD, located at 11920 Astoria Blvd, Houston, TX 77089, USA. Dr. Hematpour can be reached at (713) 486-1420 or +1 713-486-1420.

While one patient initially described their "office visit" as "great," subsequent experiences reported in the reviews raise significant concerns regarding the quality and consistency of post-procedure care and overall patient management. These reviews detail serious issues that potential patients should be aware of when considering Dr. Hematpour for their cardiac needs.

One detailed account describes a concerning experience at HCA (unspecified hospital) where, despite requiring two intravenous lines (IVs), the patient allegedly only received one. This reviewer also stated that they were not informed about the absence of an anesthesiologist prior to the procedure. Furthermore, this patient, who has a pacemaker, reported that medical staff in the room struggled to identify that their IV had been blown. The reviewer also described experiencing significant pain, initially attributed to the procedure (two heart catheterizations through the arm), and recounted hearing details of the procedure, which they found distressing. This individual strongly recommends Medtronic based on their experience.

Another review highlights significant issues with Dr. Hematpour's time management and follow-up care. This patient reported undergoing an ablation procedure, recommended by Dr. Hematpour to treat atrial fibrillation (afib). According to the review, the patient experienced a substantial delay while waiting for Dr. Hematpour in the operating room. Following the procedure, the patient was allegedly told that Dr. Hematpour would oversee their discharge from the hospital, but another doctor appeared instead. This patient also reported experiencing a significant drop in pulse rate to 40 and fluctuating blood pressure post-ablation.

The issues with time management reportedly extended to follow-up appointments as well. The same reviewer stated that they had the first appointment of the day but waited for two hours in the examination room, only for Dr. Hematpour to not appear. Upon leaving, the patient reportedly observed several individuals who had checked in after them still waiting in the waiting room. Based on this series of negative experiences, this reviewer explicitly advises against using Dr. Hematpour's services.

Based solely on the information available in these two patient reviews, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive description of the environment or specific features of Dr. Hematpour's practice. The reviews primarily focus on the patient experience related to procedures and follow-up care, rather than the clinic's physical environment. However, the mention of procedures being performed at "hca" suggests that Dr. Hematpour likely has admitting privileges or operates within a hospital setting for certain interventions.

Similarly, detailed information about the specific services offered by Dr. Hematpour is not readily available within the provided text. However, based on the procedures mentioned (pacemaker, heart catheterization, ablation for afib), it can be inferred that his practice likely encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of various cardiac conditions, including arrhythmias and structural heart issues. As a cardiologist, Dr. Hematpour would typically offer services such as:

  • Electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG)
  • Echocardiograms
  • Stress tests
  • Holter monitoring
  • Pacemaker and defibrillator implantation and management
  • Cardiac catheterization and angiography
  • Electrophysiology studies and ablation procedures
  • Management of heart failure, coronary artery disease, and other cardiac conditions.

However, it is crucial to note that the negative reviews raise serious concerns about the execution and follow-through of these services in at least some instances.

Currently, there is no promotional information available in the provided text. The absence of positive testimonials regarding post-procedural care and time management makes it difficult to highlight any specific features as promotional points. Instead, the available information strongly suggests the need for potential patients to exercise caution and seek further information or consider alternative options for their cardiac care.

It is important to acknowledge that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not be representative of every patient's interaction with Dr. Hematpour. However, the detailed nature of the negative feedback, particularly concerning communication, post-procedure care, and time management, warrants careful consideration. Potential patients may wish to seek additional reviews or consult with other healthcare professionals before making a decision about their cardiac care.

In conclusion, while Khashayar Hematpour, MD, is listed as a potential "Heart Doctor Near Me" in Houston, TX, the available patient reviews present a mixed picture. An initial positive office visit is contrasted with significant concerns regarding post-procedure care, communication, and punctuality. Individuals considering Dr. Hematpour for their cardiac needs should carefully weigh this information and consider seeking additional perspectives to make an informed decision about their healthcare.

Office visit was great but after that everything went downhill. I went to hca and 2 ivs required but only got 1. There was no anesthesiologist that was told during visit. I had pacemaker and all those people in the room couldn't figure out my iv was blown. I thought my arm was hurting from procedure only had 2 heart caths and went thru arm. I heard everything and it was horrible don't want to go in all details. Medtronic did more than anyone else which I highly recommend

Dr. Hematpour is a wonderful doctor. He truly cares about his patients and it comes through in the way he treats them, the level of care he provides, his availability, and his knowledge. He is the type of doctor who makes personal sacrifices for the health of his patients. I highly recommend him!
